How to Save on Veterinary Costs at TLC Pet Doctor
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Communication Preferences
Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.
Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

a week ago my otherwise healthy lab was spayed, grieved she was sent home without a cone without antibiotics just like normal, six days later we come home and see her organs falling out through her wound with every step she took, in panic we rush over to the doctors office to get her help and the doctor refuses to open the door and is so rude because ‘can’t you see we’re closed? we’re having lunch’ while my dog is dying. thirty minute later as my dog is bleeding out we arrives to another hospital where she died two hours later. i will never come here again. where was the aftercare post op? even if the result would’ve been the same, where is the care in an actual emergency?

Dr. Negrin is a very intelligent, reliable and knowledgeable DVM. Always gets it right. Outstanding support and reliability from her assistant, Lindsay. Thank you so very much for your dedication in making it right for our pets! Appreciate the professionism.

Some people are quick to leave a bad review about Dr. Nergrin. But they will not tell you she never turns a patient away. If you walk into her hospital with an emergency, she will treat your pet the best she can with minimum staffing and equipment. They also do not write reviews. Saying she was trying to work right after having major surgery just not to let her clients down. People need to respect her time and schedule their appointments accordingly. Suppose you will not show a simple phone call to cancel is so easy. They also say her staff doesn't answer the phones. How can she if she's helping the doctor? Before you try to tarnish someone's reputation, it doesn't hurt to ask questions, but instead, some of you guys' feelings get hurt because YOUR pet wasn’t seen promptly, and you want to write a bad review. It is funny that you guys still go to her practice. If any of my dogs are sick or are not eating whatever, I will take them to the emergency vet. But some of you do not have common sense. She’s damn near a one-person team, and you folks think she’s supposed to be superwoman. Lastly, she doesn't make you get unnecessary things for your pet like most vets. Have the day you all deserve!

I took my dog here for an emergency and this was the only place (and I called 15 places) that would see here same day on such short notice. And thank goodness the vet there could see me, or else my dog may have never regained full mobility. The vet was super kind and explained what she was doing and why every step of the way. She didn't do any unnecessary procedures that rack your bill up. The whole visit cost less than the fee one place was trying to charge me just to be seen same day. I will definitely be taking my dog back here. It's so refreshing to find a vet who actually loves what she does and cares about your pet. And now my pet is back to normal!

I had gotten one of my male cats, Mitty fixed here. We dropped him off at 9am and thought it would take all day long so we left, but they called me at 9:30am to come pick him up nd I was there by 10am to get him. They were very fast and he's had no problems or complications from the process. We also are low income and they have a program for ppl in our situation to get him fixed for only $10. They also gave him his distemperment shot. If this place wasn't so far away id make TLC his permanent veterinarian. Thank you everyone there who helped me and Mitty that day.!!
