How to Save Money at Forever Vets Animal Hospital in Hunter's Creek

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Based in today experience if I can give 0 stars to rate this facility I will. We went and saw Dr. Maggie that is the owner and main director of the facility. She was kind and caring and we ask her how much will be $ to bring 8 puppies. She gives send us a quote by email and told us that we can bring 4 first and a second appointment with the rest. We accepted the quote. When we arrived with the puppies she was not there. The vet assistant informed us that she can't accept the quote stablish by Dr. Maggie that is the owner. The quote was in paper and Dr. Rosario basically doble the price. We were told that we will pay 600 for 600 per puppies. 149.99 per puppie and Dr. Rosario and the assistant ask us 350 per puppy. We endure all the planning and preparation necessary to get the puppies there clean, safe and in time to waist our time. Dr. Rosario requested 400 dollars for a travel certificate. When that cost from 100 - 150 in most facilities. We hope that Dr. Maggie see this review. You are a wonderful Doctor, human and professional but some of the staff in your office don't validate your instructions, are disrespectful and unprofessional. Be careful when you visit this facility and make sure you know what you will be paying in advance. Even with a quote if Dr. Maggie isn't there you have no guarantee and the service will not be the same.

I recently had to put my 17 year old dog down, it was a very difficult and sad situation, after researching local animal hospitals, Forever Vets animal hospital stood out with how kind and nice they were on the phone. We ended choosing Forever vets Animal Hospital for where we would put down our dog. The employees were very respectful and very accommodating to our situation, they gave us time to say goodbye to our beloved dog and also gave us time to grieve once he was put down. We are very grateful to Forever Vets Animal Hospital. They even gave us a very cute card with our dog’s nose print a paw print. Putting your dog down is a very hard thing to do but my family and I were very glad to do it at Forever Vets animal hospital.

This location has great staff & they truly care for the pets that come in. The practice manager Laura has been so kind & caring for our 3 mini dachshunds. She had gone above & beyond to care for them & check in on how they are doing. We could not be more appreciative of how sweet Laura has been!! Thank you for everything - it is so appreciated!! :)

I cannot express the amount of gratitude i have for this office. The front desk staff, vet techs, office manager Lara and Dr. Rosario were absolutely phenomenal in and did an amazing job caring for my dog Mila. After going through a traumatic experience with Mila at another clinic where the vet refuses to provide the care my dog needed (ruptured cysts that was infected and required surgery), I reached out to forever vets the same day has they were able to see Mila right away. The staff at the office were so kind and compassionate towards myself and my dog. The office manager took Mila in right away to get examined and they were able to clean the infected area and drain the cyst. Dr. Rosario prescribed medication same day to help with Milas infection and fever and was able to fit Mila in the next day for surgery. Everything went so smoothly and Mila is doing so much better. The office Manager Lara went above and beyond to ensure Mila received top notch care before, during and after surgery as well as updating me when surgery was completed. Thank you for taking great care of my fur baby! You have gained a new customer! 🐾

I want to thank this office and its work team. Yesterday we had an emergency with our dog. We went to different doctors and none of them wanted to help us. When we called here, they asked us several questions and quickly told us to go. When we arrived, they had everyone there. team waiting for our Tobby. I want to thank you for the great help and support. I definitely recommend them and our other pets will be part of your family.
