How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Animal Recreation & Rehabilitation Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We are so grateful to Dr. Loyser. Thanks to her acupuncture treatments, Al was able to overcome his neck pain and kidney issues, which truly changed his quality of life. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and cared for. The level of kindness and professionalism is exceptional, and what stands out the most is how calm and relaxed the dogs are during their sessions. We genuinely look forward to every visit—Al is always happy to be there, and so are we.

I’m sure the doctor is great… she came highly recommended to me because my mom takes her dog to see her. I wouldn’t know… the one star is because of my experience waiting to see her. After waiting 40 minutes to see the doctor when I had an appointment, I decided to go home. They had me wait in my car since there was already too many people in the waiting area. It’s hot, the AC in my car is blasting, I’m probably wasting gas leaving my car on for so long. My car actually turned itself off because it was on too long without moving and I had to turn it back on. My dog is getting anxious wondering where we are and why are we staying in the car. I had my baby with me and he’s getting fussy because we are staying in one place for too long. I call them and they say I could come inside now (after 40 minutes waiting in the car). I asked them if the wait will be much longer. The lady said there are still a few people before me with appointments, which is crazy! Why are you making someone with an appointment wait an hour or more to be seen?! That is incredibly inconsiderate. So much time wasted. I was told that it’s a small practice and only one doctor. The vet I normally go to also has only one doctor and I NEVER have to wait this long. The only reason I was looking for a new doctor is because I wanted one closer to home for my dog, since his current vet is 30 minutes away from me. Instead of blaming it on the fact that you have one doctor, how about you take some accountability regarding your poor appointment management and be realistic when you agree to booking appointments for the doctor. Space out the appointment times, so that this doesn’t happen. Do not overbook clients in the day. Some changes need to be made regarding the appointments, which is the reason I am making this review as I don’t know where else I can provide this feedback for it to be taken seriously.

Dr. Joyce Loeser and her staff are the best. My dog was suffering with a collapsed trachea for the last 3 years. I took him to Dr Loeser for second opinion she changed his meds educated me on his diet and now 1 month later he hardly ever coughs and is not gasping for air or pacing from the anxiety of it all. She really knows her business and I highly recommend ARRC. Thankyou so much for saving my dog Chi Chi ♥

Dr Loeser is the best vet I have ever taking my pets too. She is kind, knowledgeable and extremely gentle with my animals. I'm so blessed to have her taking care of my animals, especially my dementia 19 year old chichi.

Dr. Loeser is truly a hidden gem. The depth of knowledge, confidence, and genuine compassion shown at every visit is exceptional. You can immediately tell you’re dealing with someone who not only understands veterinary medicine at a high level, but who truly cares about the well-being of every animal that walks through the door. Dr. Loeser takes the time to thoroughly assess, explain, and educate. I never feel rushed, and every question is answered with patience and clarity. It honestly reminds me of Dr. Doolittle — there’s just something special about the way Dr. Loeser connects with animals and seems to intuitively understand them. In today’s world, it’s rare to find this combination of brilliance and heart. I am beyond grateful to have found Dr. Loeser and would highly recommend to anyone looking for outstanding, compassionate veterinary care.
