How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I had a very good experience on Sloat Blvd. yesterday. Thankfully the manager, Connie, is working hard to improve Vetco’s customer service in San Francisco. I have had three unpleasant experiences with rude, insolent vet techs at Potrero Vetco vaccination clinic in the past three months, and on one of those occasions I also witnessed verbal mistreatment of another customer by a vet tech. The most offensive young lady flat-out refused to give me her name, so my complaints to management could not be followed up on. The solution to this problem is to require that every Vetco employee wear a name tag! Yesterday, on the other hand, could not have been better. The four Vetco employees I interacted with on Sloat could not have been more cordial and attentive. They were polite, welcoming and friendly throughout my visit. If only Vetco’s customer service could always be so good. Vetco needs to monitor its employees much more closely to ensure that customers have a positive experience every time.

Just had a really great first visit to Vetco Sloat in San Francisco with my Yorkie, Chiko, for his rabies shot. Our appointment was at 11:00 AM, but we arrived over an hour early. I was worried we’d have to wait around, but the staff was super accommodating and let us go ahead early, which I really appreciated. From check-in to the vaccination and checkout, everyone was so friendly, helpful, and just had really good energy. I didn’t catch anyone’s names, but the whole team made the experience smooth and stress-free for both me and Chiko. I’ve decided to make this location our regular spot for vaccinations moving forward. We still go to Vetco Brentwood for our annual and biannual checkups, they’re also amazing. Honestly, experiences like this are exactly why I stay loyal to Vetco. Just super thankful for how well they treat both pets and pet parents.
