How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Arguello Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love all the doctors at Arguello Pet Hospital including Drs Reeves, Nishimura, and Wolfe. They do such a great job examining my pup and explaining things to me. Also the front desk staff and techs really are knowledgeable and friendly like it says on their voice message and They are really fast about responding to emails. Would definitely refer my friends and family here!

Over 18 years ago I brought my puppy to Arguello at the recommendation of two friends. I have been delighted with the excellent staff and vets during the entire lifetime of my dog despite her issues as she aged. They provided compassionate, caring and professional attention though her old age to her passage over the rainbow bridge at almost 18 years old. It was a joy to return to Arguello with my new puppy and look forward with confidence to the wonderful care my new puppy will receive.

It's hard to understand the complaints about rude and unresponsive staff and doctors. The staff has always been fine and pleasant to deal with. Even with a waiting room full of dogs! And Dr Nishimura could not be kinder and gentler with my pup. Pup sails through her exams and tests with nary a complaint. Overall, APH is terrific. We are happy clients.

I’ve been a client of Arguello Pet Hospital for about 15 years. Even when my pets have been challenging, we have been treated with warmth and respect. I always feel welcomed and know my animals are in excellent hands. Thanks Drs Ina and Wolfe!

I've called APH on two occasions in the last 7 months to inquire about treatment for my pups. Both times, I was met with the most unprofessional, condescending, attitude I've ever experienced from a receptionist/customer service rep. To whomever owns/manages this practice: I spent $30,000 on veterinary care for 2 dogs in the last 12 months. You didn't see a penny of it and will not see a penny of my money in the future. If the way you treat human beings is any indication of how you treat animals, you should find a new line of business. Disgusting.
