How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Blue Cross Pet Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love Blue Cross Pet hospital. I’ve been their client since 2000. Last April my pup came down with a serious blood disorder after a fall and she’s had to see a specialist since then, thankfully she is recovering well, and I can’t wait until we are back there for her outpatient care. There is a big difference between a semi anonymous specialist and a small family run practice where you’re treated like family. I look forward to seeing my family vet again.

BCPH has always been so good to us. They respect appointments and run on time, they’ve taken us last minute for emergencies before, they communicate well, their billing practices are fair. They’ve always been a pleasure. My only thing to note is that in going to them for 2 years, we never once met a vet in person. I’m not sure if it’s a covid policy that was prolonged, but they do not allow people into exam rooms and the vet calls you to discuss results. This never bothered us because we didn’t have any serious issues of concern but I can see why other patients may seek a more in-person interaction.

Very professional and gentle with pets. Thoroughly explained treatment and answered all questions in detail. The only difficulty I encountered was the very heavy entry door. I am a Senior Citizen with a walker, and I needed help to get in from outside.

One star is too generous. If I could leave zero stars I would. If you want a veterinarian that genuinely cares about the well being of your pet AVOID this place. It amazes me what little regard for the animals this place has. The amount of apathy and complete lack of concern for the animal patients demonstrated by the staff is frankly shocking. This goes above and beyond rudeness. I do not think it would be possible for them to care less. Do yourself a favor and do not find out just go somewhere else. In short, my most recent experience can by summed up by saying my cat was really sick. I was told if we showed up by a certain time I would be seen. I have a time stamped receipt of the Uber dropping us off 7 minutes beofore the cutoff time. They had us wait in the lobby with three large barking dogs for 45min and then said that they were closed and we could not be seen.

Dr Lee took over the business after Dr Wong retired. After caring for a long run of caring for my dogs for over 14 yrs. Remodeled the place with new staff. All the vets are very nice and willing to help. The only con is they are too busy so its a hit or miss to get an appointment within a week.
