How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Animal Medical Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We've been seeing Dr. Sharp since Reggie was 13 weeks old and 13 lbs at the Georgia location. For some of the bigger surgeries like neutering, we've gone over to the West Vancouver location and met with Dr. Wilkie and Dr Crofts as well. All of the vet techs, vets, and staff are just so wonderful and helpful. Reg wasn't an easy puppy with digestive problems, hip problems, and allergies so we were frequent flyers back in the day. Thankfully with the help of the staff at Animal Medical he's a happy healthy dog. We would 100% recommend trusting your fur babies with this wonderful team!

These angels saved my dog’s life, no doubt. Dr. Alexine Crofts was amazing. She obviously cares a lot and it comes across in everything she does. Scooby have a cancerous tumour removed. It was a complicated procedure and they handled it like pros. He’s alive and well because of them. Highly recommend them. Scoobers and I can’t thank you enough!

We have a dog that requires extensive medical attention with long term illness and have spent lots of time in the vet. We thank Animal Medical Hospital for taking care of our Mika. We feel like we really lucked out finding this business after jumping around to different vets over the years. Hands down we trust Doctor Crofts she has been steering us through our care journey.

Dr Wilkie made time at the last minute to see Keesha who was in pain. Turned out to be a neck injury. Really grateful she was able to deal with this so quickly. My dog is feeling better and so am I. Mike Butterfield

We were referred by a friend to see Dr Wilkie when we got Buster, an English bulldog, in 2016. Since then we have also visited with Dr Sharp and Dr Crofts and he loves ALL of them! He is usually anxious at first but once they enter the room he calms down. They have nothing but love and care for their pawtience. I 100% trust them with Buster.
