How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Otter Point Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

When a drastic change, like retirement of a long time vet, hits a small, homey community, you can't help, but wonder "what now?", but the new vet, at Otterpoint, changes all that. The entire staff there is INCREDIBLE!!! I can't remember the last time I felt so welcome or cared for in a place. They treat you like you're part of a caring family. My dog, Opal, puts up with touching certain areas she'd NEVER put up with at home. The pens the dogs are placed in, to relax, until their turn is called, are huge! Not to mention they have quilts from home, and are just the thing a cage with bars needs to make it more welcoming. My dog was squeezed in this afternoon when I was desperate! Thank you ladies! I'm grateful for all you guys do for us. I can't thank you guys enough!

I had to bring my boy in and from the moment I walked in I was greeted pleasantly and when we saw the vet she was amazing … I felt she treated my boy like he was her own and her treatment plan was amazing they really care as they followed up with me shortly after to check in, they are accommodating to your needs and listen to your concern’s. There’s not enough good things I could say about them.

Just before Christmas, my husband and I had to put our sweet kitty Miss Pickles to sleep. Everyone at the clinic were incredibly sympathetic. Just picked her ashes up today. Thank you.
