How to Save Money at Cascade Veterinary Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
This is the only veterinarian I can trust my pets with. 9 times out of 10 there is a positive outcome when taking my pets here. When my cat had an extremely rare pyometra, Ryan was able to save her life with an extremely delicate surgery and she's enjoyed three more years of healthy living since then. When I have had to euthanize my pet, Lynn was very empathetic helpful and calming through that traumatic experience. This is a family run location and they truly do care about animals. They've gone over and above for me to be able to care for my pets as best as I can even giving me advice on how to care for them at home. You can rest assured that when your cat has an overnight stay at this location the vet actually brings them home to care for them, at least that was my experience with them. They have fit me in on short notice so many times with emergency situations. I can't say enough good things about these people. They really are a blessing to have in the community. This location is wheelchair accessible and all on one level without stairs.

Our EXTREMELY active "dainty little" purebred German Shepherd Koda (125 lbs) was in for limping. Turns out he had early stage hip dysplasia after x-rays confirmed it. They provided him with pain care as needed and a steroid shot once a month and it really made a difference. He is able to run around his BIG yard again and highly active. The steroid is his magic shot and it really works. Had we done nothing, I don't think Koda would be with us now. I thank the entire staff for their professionalism and knowledge in veterinary medicine. THANKS GUYS ! Cal

Cascade Veterinary equals quality service. Both doctors are current and well versed in sound, up and coming treatments (even though my dog dislikes mean old Dr Lynn). Their and the staff's excellent diagnoses have resulted in a thriving older dog at my house. We can't thank you enough, especially Lynn, Ryan and Alissa.

Both our dogs were treated extremely well during our visit to Princeton this month. Unfortunately our older Daniff wasn’t feeling well and they were able to see him the day of. With his symptoms and a quick test, we were on our way with medication that had him back to himself in less than a day. Our 8 month old puppy was also able to get in to have her nails clipped. This is something she doesn’t like and they were still able to get it done. They were also able to get her weight, which was a difficult task. Being 77 lbs and a puppy, she can be difficult to move at times. Thank you to everyone at Cascade! We were impressed with the care and attention provided from all staff members. All services were very reasonably priced. It’s great to know our pups have a wonderful place if needed whenever we’re in the area.

My sweet, silly pup had quite an accident. He needed stitches and several check ups in the following weeks to ensure he healed properly. Alissa, Christine and everyone at Cascade has been so helpful, caring and sweet. They’ve also been so busy and still manage to treat my pup like he’s their only patient, getting him in right away and thoroughly explaining his needs to me. I’ve been so impressed with and thankful for the special care they’ve given to us. I’d recommend them to anyone needing urgent or regular care for their sweet fur babies.
