How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Westview Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I recently lost my cat of 13 years. Dr. Parson`s and Dr. Branes did all they could to save her. One thing i regretted during my grief was to get her paw prints. Today in the mail was a hand written condolence card with her paw prints. I`ll never forget what they did for me. Thank you, is not enough.

Dr.Field and her team made the experience of saying goodbye to my furry friend of 16 years as pleasant as it could have been. I very much appreciate the compassion shown, and their willingness to accommodate my request to send him off outside in the sunshine. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Took our sweet cat in and was prescribed buprenorphine and antibiotics for his flu & pancreatitis, was charged an $800 bill for all the testing. We had to ask the receptionist about the doses as she was quick to send us on our way without a word, later on we found out buprenorphine was a strong opioid and our cat had an adverse reaction from the heavy drug prescribed and passed 2 days later after our visit. I have now learned many cats have adverse reactions to buprenorphine and have passed away from it. Be careful!

Prepare for upselling. Every time I visit (only vet in town, so I have no choice), I have to pay outrageous fees for slight (almost certainly unwarranted) changes to my cat's medication, oh and do I want to hear about this product or that product? A building full of people willing to squeeze you dry because you love animals and they're the only game in town.

Friendly, reasonable and understanding, they went above and beyond to accommodate me and my kitty when circumstances made things difficult to attend or schedule appointments, they made it work, they fit us in as soon as possible and worked with us to make things go good. They are efficient with the work they do, prices reasonable and surgery went wonderful with great recovery because of the great job they did, they also were wonderful with follow up and checking in on my boy! I recommend.
