How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Langley Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I had an amazing experience with them! I drove from Vancouver to get our big dog Hank neutered here (he is healing wonderfully). Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable and although it’s a busy clinic, they’re organized and have managed to make the process as seamless as possible. As a nurse who works in a similar environment but with children, I know how demanding and stressful the job can be. I’d take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. When they see as many patients as they do, you can’t afford to be late - it’s not them wanting to cancel you; but it affects all the appointments after you. Leave earlier and take into account any traffic :) we’re all just trying our best. People come from all over to see this clinic and for good reasons! Yes, it’s very reasonably priced but also - staff is friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy and I knew Hank was in good hands. A big thank you to all of the staff here. It’s not an easy job and it’s not just playing with cute animals all day, despite what people may think. I have so much respect for you all. ❤️ Tia & Hank

We took our cat here to get spayed and everything went very well. She is fully healed with no complications. This was also super affordable our regular vet quoted us almost $800 and we paid $250 here including her vaccinations.

I would give this clinic the lowest possible score. I took my healthy, happy dog in for a limping issue, only to be flagged after an x-ray for gallbladder stones. They couldn’t tell me how long the stones had been there, but they kept insisting on surgery to remove them. After waiting 9 months and feeding him Urinary SO food in hopes the stones would dissolve, I returned to the vet for a different concern. Yet again, they pushed surgery, assuring me it was a routine procedure. My dog was given a clean bill of health to go ahead with surgery, with the guarantee that everything would go smoothly. Unfortunately, my dog did not survive the surgery. They blamed his survival chances on malnourishment and claimed it was the dog’s fault. I feel responsible for putting my dog through this, and I can't shake the feeling that this clinic saw him as a business opportunity rather than a living being. The void left in my heart will never be filled, and I will forever regret trusting them with my pet's care.

In a day and age where it’s hard to find quality providers, I am so glad to have found this place. Other clinics I’ve come across are more interested in adding this or that for cost but the veterinarians here seem to genuinely care and explain things well. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. I genuinely feel like my pup gets the best treatment here. I’m thankful for the peace of mind provided by the team here.

If I could give zero stars, I would. For almost three years, I’ve been driving from Port Coquitlam to Langley based on a friend’s recommendation to bring my dog here. Every time, they kept us waiting for at least 20 minutes before attending to us. This morning, I had an appointment scheduled at 8:50, and I arrived at 8:58. The receptionist very indifferently told me that I had missed my time slot and would have to wait until 11. If you are that strict about an 8-minute delay, then why do you keep us waiting for more than 20 minutes every time? If you plan to cancel an appointment, at least send a text or call so that we don’t have to drive all that way only to be turned away. Your customer service is incredibly poor. I even texted once to get more information about the annual check-up service and asked for a call back, but no one ever contacted me. I am genuinely disappointed by your poor customer service, and I will never set foot there again. The same day, I went to another clinic as a walk-in, and they took care of us immediately without any delay.
