How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Calmar Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Williams is a straight shooter, don't expect to be coddled. If your dog needs it's nails trimmed, take it to a doggie spa. This Veterinarian is an excellent surgeon, and because of it, he is kept busy. I've been bringing my dogs and cats to Dr. Williams clinic for 11 years, and have found Dr. Williams to be very professional in a country casual way. His staff has always been very friendly. Highly recommend Dr. Williams. Your pet couldn't be in better hands. Lil

My dog Jasper had cut open his side while running around at our lake lot. Calmar vet clinic was closest and I called there and they took us in right away - were super friendly and did emergency surgery on my dog Jasper right away. He is doing great! I am super grateful and want to thank them SO much for helping me and my dog Jasper!!!

I just moved with my family to calmar and have been searching for a vet for my 11 year old dog. I had heard great things from other people so I called to inquire if the vet could cut my dogs nails as I don't trust most people with her. As the receptionist was asking questions about my dog, the vet said in the background that he refused to see her. He's never met my dog, heard about her or anything. How does someone that youre are entrusting with your animals refuse to see them. I was shocked at his attitude and his comments. I have never been so ignorantly treated by any Dr, vet or other wise. Clearly I will be taking her to see someone with a little more compassion and love of animals. She doesn't particularly like douche bags anyways. Maybe this guy needs to find a new line of work. Thank you for not seeing her and preventing her from suffering at the hands of your vet. She deserves the best and this clinic is so far from it.

Prices are ridiculous, no up front cost given, just huge bill when u pick up your pet. Bill u to remove the dressing and stitches but suggest u do it yourself in a week.
