Great customer service

Customer service helped to walk me through the process of filling a claim. I was grateful for the help and now will wait for my reimbursement.

Terrible Customer Service & Claim Processors. Once Resolved I'm going to look into going back to Lemonade.

I have submitted two claims. One was successfully approved and applied to the deductible. A second claim was closed without my consent and noted that it was my request. A third claim was made from the medical history they requested and denied. I resubmitted a claim and asked that they prioritize it due to resetting the SLA by closing my original claim. They just replied again, which I would like to close. At this point, I have to believe they are using A.I need to answer emails and resolve claims. I simply want the last claim I submitted resolved so that I can move on in finding a different insurance for my pet. Having moved from Lemonade Pet insurance to save cost, I can now confirm it was not worth the switch. Advise to ASCPA: Use real humans. If you are using humans, please retrain them both on phones, emails, and claims. As someone who works in insurance claims, this experience was horrendous. If you do not have a quality assurance team, please note you need to invest in one or continue to lose members. Please resolve my claim ASAP.

Looking into different insurance companies

I will be searching for different insurance companies after this experience. I submitted a claim on March 2nd, submitted all the paperwork, it kept getting denied because they lost my vets notes, so 3 months later of going back and forth with them, they finally “found them” all of a sudden, just for them to deny my claim again, I submitted an appeal but just found out I was given the wrong email so I have to call back AGAIN, and was told the appeal will take another 30-60 days, mind you, I have been dealing with this for 3 months now. I pay quite a bit of money a month for this insurance just for them to give me a headache and not want to pay a single penny of any of my dogs vet bill. By the time this is all done we’re looking at 5 months to get a claim processed.

Customer service is understaffed and terrible

I have had ASPCA insurance for quite a while...this pet and my first pet. I have been basically happy with them because i did not need live customer service/support. Today I call with a simple question, which should have been answered on the website but is not. I was on hold for 15 minutes, then cut off. Called back and waited another 10 minutes only to get someone whose English is spotty and who could not help me. I am angry because it has been a wasted morning. I pay a lot of money for this service and I am wondering about the value. Unless the customer service improves I will no longer recommend this company and will have to look elsewhere for insurance for my pup. All I ask is that someone who knows something answers the phone in a timely manner.
