I am so happy to of found health…
I am so happy to of found health insurance for my pet. Our pets are like our children and to ensure they’re covered which financially makes sense and assists us, especially in todays economy is so relieving. Thankfully my in laws informed us of it and the company after we rescued our pup and soon after needed to use it!

Would recommend despite a few challenges
The good: Phones are answered immediately, 24/7. Submitting claims requires only a single email. The service offers valuable peace of mind for pet owners. The bad: The policies have some fine-print that give them loopholes to avoid some responsibility. I wish I had checked whether something would be covered beforehand - our vet who we've trusted for years strongly recommended surgery for our dog, but Trupanion opted not to cover it as it was "preventative" even though the vet emailed them stating otherwise. Overall the service still offers peace of mind, and I have been very thankful to have it. The one change I wish they'd make is allow the "Claims Adjusters" to join phone calls to better understand the situations; presently it feels like they read an invoice with limited info and somewhat arbitrarily opt to cover costs or not. Despite this, though, I would still recommend this for any pet owner.
