Premium went up $600 for 2023 renewal
My Premium was $1000 this year and I just received my renewal for next year, Embrace increases my premium to $1600 without any explanation. I understand cost of everything went up and there's inflation now too but $600 increase????? that's 60% increase!!! between cost going up and inflation, 20% increase is probably more reasonable. Anyways, I called Embrace multiple times trying to speak to a supervisor to find out why this happened, but Embrace refuses to speak to me and all I got was a email response that my dog is aging hence the price increase. I'm very disappointed with their customer service and their supervisor Sarah is avoiding talking to me on the phone. You would think maybe there's new perks or the coverage is better given $600 increase but NOPE - same coverage as before. I feel that we are being punished b/c of my dog is getting older. I"m totally ok with annual increase of premium but not by 60% each year.

Grateful for Healthy Paws
Our 2.5 year old dog stopped eating out of the blue and became very ill with dehydration and electrolyte changes. Two hospitalizations later, he was diagnosed with Addison's disease (primary adrenal insufficiency). Healthy Paws has an easy interface for filing claims, and the turnaround times were less than one week for each claim.

Great customer service and worth every penny
Great customer service and worth every penny! Our dog has been healthy her whole life and had a very rough year with random unrelated events (broken tooth, torn CCL, etc.). This helped us get through multiple surgeries for multiple issues this year without breaking the bank!

Rob explained everything
I spoke with Rob and he explained so much to me. He could tell me what Spot does and how it compares to other pet insurances. I wish I had called first. It would have save so much time.

great coverage, amazing staff, easy to navigate, High prices but worth it!
although prices increase at a fast rate, I find that this company is the easiest to work with and offers the most beneficial coverage. As a young first-time dog mom, things can get confusing, but the staff has been extremely helpful with assisting any of my questions and work with me. The staff is personable and have been very sympathetic as my dog undergoes medical treatment. Thank you manypets for saving my dog and wallet :)

Garbage/Scam/Cons
We insured our dog at five months old. We had her spayed right before we got insurance. The vet gave her too much anesthesia, and this caused a back leg paralysis. We found out the dosage is different with Tibetan Mastiffs. It cleared up in a day and she walked fine. I purchased the insurance after that. Fast forward two years. We took her to the vet to make sure she doesn’t have hip dysplasia. We did this because we found out the breeder she came from didn’t have breeding rights. We also had no info on her hips. We just wanted to take precautionary measures to make sure she wouldn’t have any problems. The vet took X-rays and concluded she didn’t have hip dysplasia. We filed our claim with Healthy Paws to be reimbursed 90% of our vet visit. They came back and said since she had a “pre-existing limp” from the prior paralysis, and she couldn’t be covered whatsoever. This was the first claim we ever filed. We had extensive documentation showing she didn’t have hip dysplasia. They basically said F-off. We cancelled our policy, and they took us for two years of monthly payments. Stay away from them.
