Just normal insurance
It takes 15-20 days to process claims, normally. I had to wait even longer. My vet was sending the docs but they kept saying they didn't have them. At one point they couldn't review it because an invoice had two dates on it, on for a Rx pick up and one for a B12 shot but then after I called they decided it was okay and they could process. After all the back and forth they decided a high lab mark was enough for pre-existing and I basically spent hours on the phone and chat to not have any coverage anyway. I'm still waiting on my second dog because they can't read the medical history. It's a huge pain. I will keep the insurance for my second dog for emergencies. If I were to go back I would request reviews of the records before I do any claims so I wouldn't waste money on premiums. Overall, people are nice enough but at the end of the day it's just like other insurance companies out there.

The communication by Fetch is awesome
The communication by Fetch is awesome. I never have to remember to follow up with submitted claims they email/text in a timely manner so you know what stage your claim is in. Their App is useful and easy to navigate. They are good payers and I appreciate this since my dog has had issues lately and I do not hesitate to get her the treatment she needs since I know she is covered.

Coverage when you needed the most
I chose Trupanion for my K9 baby when I adopted him two months after he was born. After extensive research, Trupanion seemed to be the best choice, and I am so glad that I did. My baby fell into a critical condition after massive diarrhea, and I took him to the ER. The medical bill was heavy after one day of hospitalization and numerous diagnostic procedures, but within a minute after filing a claim, I received a text and email message about my claim. Within 5 minutes, the hospital bill was taken care of with a summary of coverage. The speedy and streamlined process was a breath of fresh air when I needed the most.
