I purchased this Insurance in October,9 days later my dog had a bloody stool issue,went to vet,they ran tests,I submitted to Ins they denied stati g pre existing condition which she did not have.I appealed it and still have not heard anything from them except an spology it's taking so long.I reported to them over a week ago its taking too long they said they would write down complaints. Don't ever get any replies to emails or calls,ye

Don’t waste your money
I have been with this insurance for 8.5 years. When it was still Pet Plan, I would have recommended it to all pet owners.. in fact I did. Now that it’s Fetch, run as fast as you can and don’t waste your money. The approval or pre-approval process is painful. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to receive anything back. The prices are also atrocious. We have two dogs with this company and the premiums on each dog have almost doubled in the past year. Lastly, my Yorkie has been denied any coverage for a periodontal disease claim. I submitted a dental extraction surgery claim because she has teeth on one side of her mouth that are bothering her and causing her not to eat on that side. This has been a problem before and the two previous surgeries were approved by Pet Plan. Big surprise, Fetch denied this entire claim. Stating it’s “routine” and “preventive care”. My advice for anyone working with Fetch is allow a few of your teeth to rot to the point that you need them extracted and then continue to live with it because your insurance denied you the care that you need. I pay $2000 a year just for my Yorkie to have insurance (which continues to inflate every year). I’m cancelling both dogs plans from this fraudulent company and will just pay out of pocket. If I would’ve done that sooner, I would’ve saved money considering her surgery was only $1500.

terrible service long claim processing times
terrible service and claims processing. the staff doesn't actually care about the customers they are understaffed they never have any answers as to claim status. you do not strive for the best experience, 7 days before documents are uploaded when emailed to you! managers telling me not to call because asking for status is frustrating is not a good experience. you team does not communicate are and your programmers have given you a terrible system with no status updates it's 2023! level up or go out of business. your company is known as "a joke".

I have been with Trupanion since…2009
I have been with Trupanion since approximately 2009, I love this company. They go over and beyond to help. When my older cocker was sick they took care for his kidney disease for the remainder of his life and I had been for several years paying out of pocket for his eye meds for his dye eye it never occurred to me to file a claim but I mentioned this to customer service and she told me to get a copy of everything from his vet and pharmacist and they ended up covering that too after the deductible ( which was met immediately with all my records) they covered that for the rest of his life. I have just about reached my deductible for my other cocker glaucoma and they will be covering his medication 90% and now he was just diagnosed with kidney disease yesterday so once I reach that deductible they will be covering that they go above and beyond to help. I am extremely thankful to them.
