If you are considering getting FIGO… PLEASE DON'T!!!
If you are considering buying FIGO pet insurance, please do yourself a favor and DON'T. We purchased pet insurance for our cat, she had an accident that required an amputation, and due to their "pre-existing conditions" clause, which basically says and any sign that shows your pet isn't in perfect health within the last year means that your pet has a pre-existing condition and therefore you will receive no reimbursement. FIGO did not reimburse any of the $7000.00 that went into surgery and visits and I sadly do not trust them to provide any if I appealed. I will no longer be supporting this insurance.

Excellent pet insurance!
Have had pets Best for awhile and their rates are very reasonable. Early last year my baby developed an enlarged heart and they have saved me. Here meds alone are very expensive even with generic. Once I submit my bills to them I have always had payment with 2- 3 weeks or so and they deposit directly to my back account. Great customer service the times that I have had to call for them for a question also.

Had my pet insurance with this company…
Had my pet insurance with this company for 3 years. Somewhere they went sour. They do not keep your pet's medical records and when it's time for a claim they request all medical records. Stay away from this Company. Waited 40 minutes for a supervisor to pick up, supervisor however never picked up. They do not care enough for pet parents , shows you how they care about your pet. They have a great story when they answer the phone.

Date policy went into effect vs date paid
Our dog had existing coverage and I provided all requested proof/declaration page - we should not have had the waiting period before coverage began. We pd on 1/19 told not active until 2/5. I'll be interested to see when they charge us for following month- hopefully its off the effective date going forward.

I have 2 dogs so pet insurance for me is expensive but I don't regret having it. Insurance has gotten better in covering certain illnesses in particular the rise in cancer and arthritic conditions.
