Bait and switch. Huge premium Increases
Have had pet insurance with them for 23 years. Policy typically increased 10-30% annually. My dog has required little treatment and has incurred little costs. Got a notice that they are increasing the premium 270%. Have written them 3 times. California Department of Insurance says they are only authorized to increase it a maximum of 44%. Healthy paws never responds … just sends me a copy of the increase with no justification. They were good until they got acquired years ago, and are coasting off their initial good reputation.

Great customer service
Great customer service, I had 4 claims in 1 month due to infections and surgery - it took 2 tries to get all the docs to the correct spots, but once they had them the claims were processed in a few days, then a couple days and I have money in my account. Overall a fairly good start, especially compared to human insurances.

Excellent customer service, great transparency and knowledgeable!
I'm a new cat mom and learning everything as I go, which is exciting and scary! I knew I wanted to get insurance for my sweet girl, Kitty but had so many questions and things I wasn't sure of. I called and spoke with Aileen and she was so kind and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel dumb for asking. She didn't pressure me into starting a policy which I appreciated very much. I gave it some time and continued researching online and each time I compared companies, Fetch always came out on top with what I was looking for. I called again with some questions and got to speak with Aileen again which was so nice and comforting! She answered my additional questions and eased my concerns about a couple things. She never once made me feel rushed or unimportant to her. I really enjoyed our conversation, it felt like I was talking to one of my girlfriends! She definitely helped make an initial confusing decision, very easy for me. I'm excited for Kitty and myself to be part of the Fetch family! Thank you Aileen!

I strongly do not recommend Embrace Pet…
I strongly do not recommend Embrace Pet Insurance. We paid premiums expecting coverage for our pets, but when we filed our claims, all were denied. Both our family veterinarian and a veterinary specialist provided written letters confirming that the injuries were not pre-existing conditions, yet the company still refused coverage. We submitted thorough medical documentation and followed their process, but our claims were dismissed without fair consideration. After this experience, we canceled our policy. In my opinion, this company does not stand by its stated coverage, and pet owners should be aware before trusting them with their pets’ health care. We were left with thousands of dollars in expenses that we reasonably expected to be covered.
