HealthyPaws was a blessing in our lives.
We used HealthyPaws insurance for our beloved doodle mix. He was with us for a little over 13 years and had insurance through Healthy Paws that whole time. While he had major surgery four years ago and his later years brought on some significant health issues, Healthy Paws was always there. They were kind, considerate, responsive and professional. They always paid the reimbursement for services which were laid out in our contract and did so quickly. While the cost of the insurance went up over the years, the level of care from HealthyPaws continued it's same excellent and compassionate care and we will be forever grateful they helped us through those processes. Sadly, we lost our beloved Mac last month but wanted to publicly thank Healthy Paws for their response and condolences even at the end of our association. Excellent company with which to insure your pets and I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

My Standard Poodle was sent home from the breeder with a Trupanion policy at 8 weeks old! I continued that policy and added the “Complimentary Care” Rider. Today after 5 years I finally had an occasion to call on Trupanion. I am so thankful for this insurance and not just the coverage but even the person on the phone when I called to inquire on how it all works. My baby was able to get the care he needed and is on the road to recovery and I’m not sure it would have happened as fast as it did without the excellent service and their insurance program. As an added note…I had just spent over $2500.00 on my other elderly dog making the second emergency even more untimely. Such a wonderful peace of mind and help to his care and my budget.

My dog is alive because of Trupanion.
My boy got sick and ended up at the emergency vet for several days. We had no clue was what wrong, but because I chose to invest in trupanion for him several years prior I was able to afford the best possible care for him. He ended up needing X-rays, abdominal ultrasound, several blood tests, a spinal tap, cultures, and an MRI. Thank GOD for trupanion. I’m in actual tears I’m so grateful. We still are nailing down the exact infection that brought us here, but he is already so much better. His tests and medications so far has been roughly $13,000 (and climbing) and I had zero issues sending all of the receipts to trupanion for coverage. Some of the clinics even worked directly with trupanion so I didn’t have to put anything but the 10% (my percentage) down at the vet. Please please please invest in insurance for your pets. You don’t think you need it until you NEED it. Thank you Trupanion, I am forever grateful.

So Worth It
I love Healthy Paws and the peace of mind it offers. My dog Winnie recently had to undergo an intense bladder surgery. I have received my reimbursements all well within a week of submitting my claims. I know a lot of people argue “why not just put the monthly payment into a savings account” but I love being able to tell my vet “do whatever necessary” because I know it won’t ever cost me a lot of money. It’s a lot easier for me to make monthly payments to insurance knowing I’ll have coverage no matter how large the cost versus hope that the amount I put into savings was enough. We have had coverage for Winnie since 2019, and if we had put the amount we pay into insurance for Winnie instead into savings, we would not have had the money to cover her bladder surgery, nor other vet treatments she has had in between 2019 to today. So incredibly worth it.

Everyone is always so great. I was recently attempting to enroll our new pet and the website was acting up. I got a text immediately from a representative, Monica, asking if I needs any assistance. She called and worked me through getting everything set up how I needed it. Everyone I have ever dealt with has been so incredibly helpful and kind.
