Yesterday my puppy felt from store cart and I brought him to emergency and paid 236 dollars. When I tried to claim my reimbursement I received message that my coverage starts from May 10. I bought policy 3 days ago. That's why I don't like it

Update: I was contacted by Trupanion very soon after this review and the claim was approved. They promised that such a long wait will never happen in the future.I am more like,,show me ,instead of tell me",so I am changing my review to 3 stars until I am sure that they will keep their promise. I signed up my golden retriever puppy at 2 mo old,no preexisting conditions.We had first problem at 5 mo old,at the beginning of Apr.Now is beginning of May and still waiting..Hospital was one of the Trupanion users,,,where before walking out , the claim will be paid at the counter ".LIE..the Hospital has to use the Trupanion software and the Hospital has to accept reimbursement. But that was not the case at all,,because was the first claim,it may take a wile",per Trupanion.Is 1 mo already of waiting.No email,no call,nothing ,after I called to ask what is going on and I received an email encouraging me to wait.Now I am stuck with them until my dog passes the dangerous time when he can break a bone easily,almost until full grown, when he will be 2 yo.I will dump them right away after.It may sense to do so.

My policy with Pumpkin includes a once a year checkup and they paid for exactly the parts they said they would 10 months later because I forgot to file for it. So far, so good! I have renewed my policy with them for my dog Lulu

THIS PET INSURANCE IS A FRAUD. I PAID $1500 IN PREMIUMS AND $1500 IN IN DEDUCTIBLE FEES TO GET BACK $2,100. THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME BEFORE DENTAL SURGERY TO MAKE SURE I GOT IT DONE BEFORE 4/12 SO IT WOULD BE UNDER THE RENEWAL DATE SO I WOULD GET BACK 90%. FOR A SURGERY THAT COST ME $2,200 THEY PAID ME $656.94. THEY SAID IT WAS PREEIXSTING. VET DISAGREES AND I HAVE THE RECORDS TO PROVE IT. DON'T FALL FOR THIS. THEY CALL EVERYTHING PREEXISTING TO NOT PAY. I AM 75 YEARS OLD AND THEY SCAMMED ME. I AM SO UOSET I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I AM GOING TO PAY THIS BILL.
