Don't get Figo. They will deny all claims and give you random reasons.
This company basically uses any reason to deny a claim. Every time we make an illness related claim, they will say it was due to something preventable by vaccine so they are not liable to pay. We took our aussie puppy to the vet because she seemed to have a slight cough and throat irritation. The vet said she likely has allergies and asked us to use benadryl to alleviate the symptoms. He also prescribed an anti-biotic because she is a puppy, and out of an abundance of caution, in case there was an upper respiratory infection. No where in the medical record did he mention it was kennel cough. But Figo denied the claim. They made their own diagnosis, ignoring the vet, and said it is kennel cough. They won't pay for Kennel cough because it is preventable by a vaccine. Out vet did not recommend the vaccine at our puppy's age just yet (since she is going through the course of parvo vaccines). Figo claims that we rejected giving her the vaccine which is false. Don't get this insurance, and definitely don't get their wellness package. It pretends to be cheaper than the others but they don't pay for any claim. What a total scam!

Fetch has been great
Fetch has been really great with handling the claims for my cat Harvey who became really ill with Pancreatitis and has had to also have several visits after a stay at the veterinary hospital. I have had the insurance since 2017 and had never had to file any claims until recently. However, when I did file the claims, they were processed promptly and with no real issues other than wanting records clear back to 2018 (so they had a complete medical history which is reasonable). My rates are going up by almost 39% for the renewal which is find kind of steep even with a higher deductible. On the other hand, my cat is a senior cat and the insurance has paid for itself with vet bills for my cat's recent illness. Word of advice -- make sure that you have your pet examined by the vet for an annual check up each year -- not just when sick or have an injury. If not, it is likely that claims will not be paid if they do not have records of the most recent examination. Seems that some people are confused, surprised, and even angry about this when they sign up and get upset when they will not pay. However, it is outlined in the policy documents (which should be read carefully -- especially related to pre-exisiting conditions). If this is done, they are great about paying your claims with the exception of prescription food/pill pockets, nail trims, wellness exams/vaccinations, etc. This type of insurance is primarily for major illnesses when vet bills can climb from hundreds to thousands of dollars in a matter of days if your pet becomes unexpectedly ill or injured. It really helps to get some money back after a stressful situation and is a relief that you can get the proper care for your pet without having to choose between your finances or the wellbeing/life of the pet that you love. It would be nice if pet insurance would offer paying vets directly after your deductible is met similar to human insurance -- rather than paying it all up front yourself.

I got this insurance in 2012 for my…
I got this insurance in 2012 for my dog. My dog was healthy so I never get to use it for about 8/9 years. At the age of 10 she was diagnosed with heart failure disease, her plan max for "incident" ( this is what they call her illness) was only $2500 . When I called - they explained that my policy is old and doesn't exist any longer. I asked to change a plan, which has not available?! Only to cancel and get a new plan, which would make me a "new" customer whose dog's heart disease would be treated as an " existing condition". After 11 years of being with this insurance and now paying $270 a month - my dog's pills and cardiologist would not be covered. I wish I can leave 0 stars. If you plan to get a new plan with pets best, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I am canceling after 11 years. This is why we get insurance - to have it now when I need the most. Utterly disappointed that I have to pay out of pocket for this.

I am new to pet insurance and have been…
I am new to pet insurance and have been very happy with my ManyPets plan. I have had 3 claims. My dog cut his foot on glass and had to have stitches and pain medicine. ManyPets covered it. I have wellness in my plan. My dog just had his annual wellness exam and updated vaccines. ManyPets covered it. I hope we don't have any more injuries or illnesses. I have always had dogs with many vet bills to pay. It is nice to have support for the unexpected. Customer service is exceptional. I have called several times with questions as a new customer.

Feels like a scam
Feels like a scam. Signed up for a high coverage including preventive care platinum. Out of a $400 claim, they only send you $100. You pay more than that monthly. Definitely not worth having Spot. Reply back to Spot: that’s because I cancelled last week. You can’t look up recently cancelled accounts? You still have an outstanding payment too.
