Very professional
My dog was suffering from allergies so I had to take him to an allergist., and it was very very costly, but it was such a relief that I had Trupanion, because even though everything wasn’t covered, it was a great helped to get something in return. They got back to us fairly quickly, and when I called for an explanation of benefits, the man on the phone was extremely helpful and extremely nice and explained every single thing , highly recommend

Happy Client
Pro: 1. A human answers the phone. You do not have to wade through numerous phone prompts. And not a call center from overseas. 2. They’re efficient and process the claims in a timely manner. 3. They check in every so often to tell you the status of your claims and are kind when you call about it. 4. They are straightforward in what the cover. 5. From social media, they appear to treat their employees well. Con: 1. My deductible rose dramatically. I think we started at a couple hundred and are now at a $1,000 (already met). Worth it when you own a cavalier. And likely standard in the insurance industry? I don’t know. I highly recommend Trupanion.

Insurance Made Easy
I was pretty skeptical about getting my dog insured for accidents and illness, fearing that most things would not be covered and the process for submitting claims would be a hassle. I just submitted my first few claims and am amazed at how quickly i submitted my claims and how quickly I received reimbursements. I highly recommend!
Ask about SOAP notes or waste your time and money while your pet is not the main concern.
Customer service is very courteous. I adopted my puppy at 4 months and this is my third policy to cancel and she’s only 15 mo old. Lots of jumping through impossible hoops. No reimbursement. We live in a rural setting. She has never been injured. The problem is my vet does not use SOAP notes. The vet does provide medical records but not in the form all insurances require. FINALLY! This customer service made that clear. I can never have my pet claims reimbursed for a reason I learned after a year of premiums. We love our dog and our vet. The insurance constraints make her uncoverable. We hope to have her for years. Very frustrating as no one told me the SOAP requirement but gladly took my money. I had to research vet procedural requirements and contact my rural but wonderful vet to determine the problem. ASK YOUR VET AND YOUR PROSPECTIVE INSURANCE BEFORE YOU PAY FOR INSURANCE. Our pet is not uninsurable because of an unspoken requirement. 1) Your vet is an amazing practitioner but does not conform to the insurance software/paper compliance. You won’t ever receive reimbursement. 2) Your insurance company will not tell you up front that the SOAP medical records system is mandatory. Handwritten or typed medical records are useless to an insurance company. My beloved pet’s life and future pain unimportant to the insurance company because of our rural location. 3) What exemption will you discover? Having paid all her premiums timely, they were for naught. I suppose insurances will require Electronic Medical Records next. Which will truly be absurd. My pet is uninsured despite our efforts and great care. Buyer beware! Wasted money. No security for my girl. All because of paper compliance. I didn’t know to ask about SOAP to either vet or insurance company. I can guarantee you the vet prices will be higher if specific software is demanded. I’ve wasted far too much time on this already. My pet is still at risk! 4) Embrace did refund my first premium but I was not informed of SOAP requirements until I educated myself. The Fetch and Pumpkin companies continued taking my money while not paying claims. They never told me SOAP was mandatory. I educated myself and asked Embrace directly. Otherwise I may be in the same pay for nothing vicious circle.

I have only submitted one claim and it…
I have only submitted one claim and it was denied so I’m not sure what I am paying for. I just hope if there is an emergency I won’t be denied.
