This company is terrible
This company is terrible. If you like throwing money away, have any and every claim denied for the most trivial reasons, this is the company for you! If you have 2 pets insured with them, have a great time when your vet has both your pets on the same bill! Figo will make you jump through every possible hoop they can and still deny your claim. F this company. You are better off either going with some other company (the homeless guy under the bridge is more trustworthy than this joke of a company) or just outing the money into saving Incase an accident happens with your pet. They will tell you (they do everyone) they are so concerned and please email them to discuss concern and issues. You will get back a cookie cutter response of an email. Seriously. Go. Find. Another. Pet. Insurance. Company. FIGO IS NOT going to be there for you if you need them.

LIARS AND FRAUDS
My policy was cancelled due to non payment they said. They NEVER tried to take the money out! I called and checked that they had the correct numbers and they took the $1.00 TEST WITHDRAWL AND THEN NEVER DID ANOTHER! Go somewhere else!!!! Do NOT TRUST EMBRACE!!!!!

Payment of Claims
I have full coverage on my cat which includes preventative. I have been disapppointed in the reimbursement. She has had teeth removed two times that were infected and they said this is pre existing condition. Therefore, only a portion of her bill was reimbursed. Out of $1200 for the last extraction done, I was only reimbursed $235. Since I have full coverage on my cat I don't understand how an infected tooth is pre existing. I really can't change insurance companies at this point because she is now 7 years old. I signed her up as a kitten so it would be more expensive if I changed.

Trupanion Pet Insurance Rocks!
I always resented the monthly charge to my credit card that I never seemed to get any benefit from. I had a huge deductible in order to make the monthly payments more manageable, and then there are things that aren't covered, such as the intake exam, so by the time that's all deducted you get a cheque for something like $15. And then you never know what to believe online, or whether "insurance" will actually come through when the chips are down. So it felt like I wasn't getting anything out of it. THEN my beloved old Irish Setter, Rowdy Roddy the Red, ate a heavy terry towel shop rag (why???), and it got stuck in his stomach and small intestine. The cost estimate to get it out staggered me. ($10k) But it turns out Trupanion actually pre-approves on the spot (the vet tech raved about Trupanion), so I KNEW I could make decisions without having to factor in the cost! In the end my sweetheart died, because the exam turned up advanced cancer that would have made choosing to go ahead with the rag-removal surgery just cruel and selfish. BUT I DIDN'T HAVE TO PUT HIM DOWN BECAUSE I COULDN'T AFFORD TREATMENT. That would have haunted me for the rest of my life. Thank you thank you thank you.
