MetLife could’ve prevented my puppy from dying by giving advice . But , of course nobody was available to chat!
I started this policy through group insurance. My dog just had puppies today 10/09/2025 and I kept requesting for telehealth visit or chat about a NICU puppy and we needed advice to save his life being that I have no vehicle anymore . My chat kept closing after waiting about 5 minutes to even chat on multiple tries and I lost my puppy . So , thanks a lot MetLife . You guys surely know how to NOT to give HELP & COVERAGE when needed!

Get pet insurance!!!
I took out insurance on my dog when he was 8 weeks old. I had to use it because my dog, Oreo, had a lump! Which led from one thing to another. I had to see a pet specialist! Healthy Paws has been absolutely wonderful!! It is so easy to make a claim. I just bring the bill home, open the app, take a picture and send it in. Within 3-4 days a check is sent to my bank account!! Healthy Paws you are the best. They are still working on Oreo’s problem. Should have definite answer by Tuesday next week!! I highly recommend insurance on your fur baby!! If I didn’t have insurance I don’t know what I would’ve done!!!

2025 has been rough for my 13 yr-old…
2025 has been rough for my 13 yr-old dog following knee surgery (CCL tear) complicated by advanced generalized arthritis. Healthy Paws has been extremely supportive in their simple & speedy reimbursement for both her surgery and ongoing rehab costs. She just passed her policy anniversary date & I was very pleasantly surprised that her premium did not skyrocket as others have reported for their senior pets (thankfully I live in PA not CA or other states that allow major premium increases). Last week I had to contact Customer Service after noticing a quote on Winnie's website for a premium renewal cost exactly twice the figure I was quoted in her Policy Update letter sent to me 2 months earlier. I can’t speak highly enough of the rep Alesia (from Florida, not abroad) who picked up my call on the second ring and addressed my concerns thoroughly & professionally. Fortunately, it was due to a temporary systemwide software problem on their website which they were trying to correct at the time & she assured the proper rate was in fact the one quoted in my Policy Update letter. These days it's so rare to have a pleasant & helpful Customer Service experience. In this case, I can truly say my experience was consistent with the consistent 5-star experience with Healthy Paws I've enjoyed over the years. And for the record, I'm not a bot, just a retired physician.

You have the nerve to ask my opinion of…
You have the nerve to ask my opinion of Pets Best after the way they have NOT paid our legitimate bills submitted?!! This company sucks!! I have submitted dental claims twice to no avail! This time the are going to pay $150 of a $1500. bill!! That is rediculous! I will not continue to pay a 3 month fee of > $266. for what I have received in return! You people are nuts! I will also report this company!

Terrible Customer Service
This is borderline a scam -- the insurance portion is alright, but cancelling is a nightmare. The sales rep will do everything in their power to keep you on the insurance. I finally was able to cancel, only to have them reenroll me in another policy a year later? Customer service is pretty much nonexistent or during extremely inconvenient hours (for someone not on the east coast) and there's no way of getting in touch other than reaching out over phone (and being put on hold). Do not recommend, insure your pet with a more reliable and customer friendly insurance like MetLife instead.

Declined reimbursement
Declined to pay ER treatment required call to Pet Poison Helpline. Also eliminated for payment $430 for Emergency visit ($200 which was NOT an exam fee) & Inpatient Exam ($230.00). Believe they calculated Exam fee twice. Spoke to call center who refused to help. I pay a great deal monthly for this coverage & am not happy with these decisions. They seem to stretch restrictions to save corporation money instead of being compassionate regarding the issues facing the clients & their pets. Used to be a business who bent over backward to work with clients. No more. Will no longer recommend.
