SCAM WELLNESS PLAN - DON'T BUY
I bought their Wellness plan hoping that they could reimrburse for the dental treatment and many things. After I actually got the dental receipts to them, they refused to reimburse it because it is not done by an official doctor? This was never explicitly stated in their claim. This is a plan with a lot of "hidden" rules and you won't get your money paid in!

Customer service is excellent and claims are processed in record time. I have been a customer for years and have tried other insurance companies. I trust that I am covered when I need them the most. They even emailed me to see how my pet was doing.

I can only rate Carmen's
I can only rate Carmen's, insurance agent, service since I haven't used the insurance yet. She was very helpful. I explained what I expected from the coverage, what I needed it to cover and information on my cat's and their medical history. She was very detailed so I'm aware of things I thought Prudent Pet would cover which they more than likely will not. She even gave me a suggestion on where to find information on how to socialize my 2 cats to each other (1 had just been adopted) so they can live harmoniously. Thank you Carmen.

They are delaying my payments
I’ve paid premiums for 14 years. They have an issue with two invoices that I can’t get corrected by the health provider yet because they are on vacation. So every claim after that is backed up and they will not budge and settle them. My dog died and I’d like to cancel the policy but feel I need to wait so I have access to their system until this is settled. I’ve been told they will settle those claims by one representative then again that they cannot yet by another a couple of times. Each time they “correct” it they give themselves 10 more days to do so. I’m grieving on top of all.

AKC fabricated my dog’s vet’s records.
I filed a claim which was denied by your company due to fabricated claim that it was a pre-existing condition. Theo started having symptoms of allergies 2 wks ago when we took him and was given an allergy shot. When I called your office, the rep read to me the notes “from the vet” stating that Theo had allergy symptoms back in January (which conveniently was prior to the start or his insurance coverage). I called the vet and as I expected, they did not have any documentation of any allergies on the visit in 01/24 or any at all until 07/02/24 when he was seen for that problem. I confirmed that when I requested Theo’s entire medical records. Fabricating a provider’s notes is not acceptable nor legal by any standards. When i called your office, I was told that the only way I could resolve this is by filing an appeal. Great! Taking time out of my already busy day to file a claim on something that should have been processed correctly to begin with. And I thought this was a reputable company. (Although, there really is NO reputable insurance company for that matter). I am a medical provider and I know this first hand through over 30 years of filing medical insurance claims and dealing with insurance companies. I was naive to think that pet insurance would actually do the RIGHT thing since they deal with animals who give us humans so much joy. Have a great day! I rated it one star because there was no option for a worse rating.

My claims experience was horrible!
My claims experience was horrible!! After 4 weeks of waiting I started calling and was told they didn’t have enough info on my pet. I phoned the dr office and they sent complete records to you. I still had to make several phone calls to find out when I was going to be reimbursed. My pet is only 2 1/2 yrs old and has never been sick or had a claim in the past. I will be shopping for new insurance because ya’ll take my money every month and the first time I use it was a terrible experience. Good riddance
