SPOT is a fraudulent company
SPOT insurance is a fraudulent company that refuses to cover vet bills. My dog was seen for an ear infections related to wet ears. SPOT denied the claim because my dog had previously been seen at an emergency vet when she rolled in grass and had foxtails embedded in her ears. SPOT stated that my pet had a pre-existing condition of ear infections which is untrue because foxtail removal from ears is NOT related to allergies or infections. Spot then claims that my dog was diagnosed with allergies and allergies are a non-curable condition therefore SPOT will not cover any visit or prescription related to allergies. SPOT then continues to state that my dog's ear infection is related to allergies. My dog was NEVER diagnosed with allergies or seen by a vet for allergies until the visit when I submitted a claim. For each claim and each appeal I have filed I have been given a different excuse as to why my claim was denied. I was a customer for a few months which is why I believe my claim was denied because SPOT would not have received enough money in premiums to cover the cost of the claim reimbursement. If the excuses for denial were consistent I would be more likely to believe that SPOT was not a fraudulent company, however they know what to say and how to manipulate medical records to deny payment for a claim.

We have AKC insurance and LOVE it
We have AKC insurance since our pup came to us at 10 weeks old. It's well paid for itself when she came, she had Guardia we thought she swallowed something. after all the diagnosis the bill was $789 When we first got AKC insurance it started at $56 a month with the wellness plan, and she is now 3 years old it's gone down to $46 a month we use it for just regular checkups and heart worm testing with the mediations and it cost us a few dollars well worth the price and protection!

Denied claim and lied over the reason
I filed a recent claim for medication refills that had previously been approved though this was the first claim where I had met my deductible and would be owed a payment. My claim was denied and the reason listed was that they were missing medical records. When I called, the representative I spoke with admitted that they had the records, so the reason listed on my explanation of benefits was an outright lie. They did reopen the claim, and eventually approved the medications, giving me a whopping $11 back. So I had to jump through major hoops just to get $11. I had cancelled my policy for a different reason (found better coverage elsewhere) just prior to this incident, but this certainly leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
