Beware if your pet has had anything before you buy the policy.
On their site, Fetch says it will cover curable “pre-existing” conditions after one year. What that actually means is they will cover an illness that doesn’t recur one year from the start of your policy. If it does recur within that year they add an additional year before they cover it. So it isn’t actually one year, it is two. My dog got her second respiratory infection ten months into the policy (18 months after she had been cured). They denied everything. So buyer beware of your dog has anything a year before you buy the policy- even an infectious disease. The only good thing about the policy, the person I talked to when I canceled was really nice.

Good companylast few claims have been so easy…
The last few claims have been so easy and we receive payment the next day, which was super nice however a trip earlier when I had an emergency and Las Vegas took so long to process and kept asking for the same documents so that was a little disconcerting

If I could leave zero stars that would…
If I could leave zero stars that would be my review. After waiting a MONTH past my pets vet visit I was notified my entire “illness claim” was denied. The insurance company categorized my pets issue as “allergies” even though it was very clearly noted on the vets visit notes that my dog had a severe ear infection. My pet had a similar issue over 2 YEARS ago and I’m assuming they’re using that information to claim this is a “preexisting condition” even though they list those as occurring within the past 12 months on their explanation of benefits site. I’ll be canceling my policy for both pets immediately and would caution anyone not to waste their time or money with this company. In addition to horrible service their customer service is also well below subpar. It takes an hour to get a human being on the phone (when you can) and you’re then told “they’re trying to hire more people, are short staffed, and this is why their service is so slow and takes over a month to get any resolution”. This company is a complete and total waste of your time and money.

The WORST pet insurance
The WORST pet insurance! My King Charles Spaniel was in terrible pain with no known cause. My vet suggested taking him to an emergency vet for a work-up to determine what was wrong. The suspicion was a herniated disk in his neck because every time he moved he screamed in pain. It was the hardest thing to watch. An MRI was done along with multiple tests to better understand how to handle his pain and treat him. Of the $6,750+ bill Nationwide paid $165 and claimed the rest of his care for a congenital issue. The majority of the expense was for the MRI to discover what was wrong. Why have insurance if you can't have diagnostic work covered to understand how to treat your animal? It is ridiculous and predatory. Nationwide takes your money and covers very little. They also make it VERY hard to have your case reviewed and reconsidered. I absolutely would NEVER recommend them.
