Easy to file claims

I had to use the insurance this year, and I was surprised to find out that filing claims and getting paid was so easy.

Pumpkin insurance is quick to process claims. Filing a claim is easy too and their customer service is responsive and knowledgeable. Also, by comparison, they’ve got one of the best plans out there. Glad I chose pumpkin!

Timely and Fair Compensation

I have always had a fantastic experience with MetLife. They are a little pricier than other services but from every experience I’ve had with them, it’s worth every penny. From emergency services to preventative care MetLife has had my back on everything my cats have gone through.

Claims are not accurately reviewed before making claim decisions sending reimbursement if any. Usually need to call back to follow up with claims explaining their incorrect decisions & oversights

We had a few issues when we filed a claim. First we had a difficult time gaining access to our online account. We called for support and were given an e mail address to file a claim because their were issues in our access to filing a claim on our online account. After we filed the claim using the email address given to us there was no answer back concerning the status to our claim. We checked our online account which we finally had access to and our claim was not on our account. When we called we were told a claim was never received despite the fact we used the email given to us to file the claim as an alternative. Once the file was claimed there was another delay despite us giving all the information necessary. Considering the cost of this insurance I’m disappointed with the overall process. My claim was finally filed and now we wait for our money. The experience was lacking. We are seriously considering another pet insurance company due to the process we hoped would be efficient.

⭐ One Star – Extremely Disappointing and Possibly Deceptive

I originally rated this pet insurance company four stars, but I am now changing my review to one star due to repeated claim denials and what feels like intentional runaround tactics. My dog’s wellness claim for neutering and a tooth extraction has been denied multiple times under the excuse that they are “missing medical records.” This is simply not true. His full medical records have been sent multiple times — by my veterinarian, by their office staff calling directly, and by me personally. My dog was adopted at six months old. He was a puppy. The original vet provided all records they had, which were vaccination records only. There were no prior conditions, no claims, and nothing else to send. He is now just over two years old, yet this company keeps requesting records from 12 months prior to him even being born, which is impossible. Despite repeated explanations, phone calls, and documentation, the claim continues to be denied with the same generic response. At this point, it feels less like a mistake and more like a deliberate attempt to avoid paying valid claims. If you are considering this company, be aware that you may pay premiums faithfully only to have legitimate claims denied over and over again for reasons that make no sense. Sadly, I’m starting to question whether this company operates in good faith at all.
