No Surprises!

We've just renewed with Embrace for our three dogs. In our transactions with Embrace, there have been no surprises, everything was as stated, we were well treated, treated fairly, and the Embrace staff with whom we worked were very responsive and followed through promptly as needed. We were advised by email as to the status of processing each claim, and claims were paid in a timely manner by check - and now even faster since we do Electronic Fund Transfers. Before selecting Embrace, we had read horror stories of dealing with other providers - we made the right choice.

Excellent!

I had Petshealth Insurance for about eight years. They apparently changed management several times as well as how claims were assessed - ultimately becoming extremely deficient with regard to what they considered to be "reasonable and customary charges in the geographical area". In appealing the last claim payment they made to me, I actually provided a chart with specific costs of the same services provided by four other vet clinics in my area -- proving that the charges from the clinic I used was actually below the others. In spite of this they denied properly adjusting the amount they would allow. I am not only extremely pleased to find that Embrace provided the up-front stated percentage of the actual costs I incurred, but also most appreciative of their attentive and responsive customer service.

A mastiff that has a thing for socks!

I can't say enough about Embrace insurance. My english mastiff Daisy ate a sock and was very sick. She had emergency surgery. As anyone would imagine, the cost for a 180 lb dog is huge. Embrace was very quick in handling my claim and I had my check within 15 days. I have recommended this insurance to anyone who will listen to me. I have even given the website to my vet for his clients. Thank you Embrace!

I am so thankful for my ASPCA Pet Insurance

I own a golden retriever and pembroke welsh corgi, and insured both of them with ASPCA a little over two years ago. I thought it was a good idea, but never imagined how good. The company where I worked for 28 years decided to close, and I lost my job this year, so money was tight. I almost lost my corgi early in the year to an intestinal obstruction. Fortunately he pulled through and is doing well. It's amazing what those little guys will eat. Without the pet insurance, I don't know how I would have paid that vet bill. To top it off, my corgi unexpectedly tore his cruciate ligament later this year. Again he did well with the surgery, with another big vet bill. And again, my pet insurance came through with flying colors. I will never be without pet insurance in the future, and will definitely stay with ASPCA. My claims were processed and paid very quickly, with absolutely no problems.

Easy claim form and speedy recovery.

I have a bulldog and a bullmastiff insured with Embrace. They have made the filing of claims very easy and resolution of the claims have been very fast. I did have one claim that was denied, but when I sent in a clarification, it was quickly resolved in my favor.

Good, but could be better

I bought pet insurance for my husky mix 2 years ago because I knew I could not afford vet bills if something major happened. I got basic accidental insurance and I am happy with the rate. My dog recently tore his ACL and needed surgery to fix it. I paid the bill, submitted it to the pet insurance company, and received a check a couple weeks later. It was easy and I found the customer service reps were friendly and helpful. I only have a few complaints. First, I did not receive the total allowance for my vet bills and still ended up paying $600. The reason was because they said the cost was too high and I could have gotten it cheaper at a different office. However, I visited 4 vets in my area and I went with the vet that charged the least amount. I'm not sure how it could have been any cheaper, as there are only two orthopedic vets in about a 100 mile radius of me and both charge the same fee (the difference in the amounts was the vet office fees for x-rays, etc), but at least I got most of the surgery covered. My second complaint is that certain injuries are not covered until you are with the insurance company for an allotted amount of time. I was lucky that injury did not occur a few months early, as I would not have been covered, even though I was way past the normal 12 month mark. However I will continue to insure my dog with ASPCA.

Easy claim; real people communicating

I am so impressed with the customer service at Embrace. Every time I e-mail I get a response from a person who really seems to care...no auto responses or phraseology. They take the initiative to look at our records and make things as easy as possible for me. Instead of my having "to prove" my claim, they took the time to look things up and promptly told me everything would be paid right away. I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend this company to anyone.

Pets best is the best!

I selected them when my cat turned 9 and we felt we needed to start insuring him for later-in-life issues. He needed nothing for a year, and then it all started happening! Dental extractions, evaluation for CRF etc all at aged 10 -- plus baseline labs, wellness, etc. Our first "whopper" bill was approx $800 of which Petsbest reimbursed 80% within a month. This policy is the best monthly $40 I've ever spent! They are always great on the phone and very helpful. I also like the fact that this company was started *BY* a DVM, so he knows how we feel particularly at end-of-life. I think it's a "personal and professional face" on the company that I like the most

$4500 the first time - $3000 the second

When my tough as nails Amstaff refused to eat and was dry heaving I knew from experience that she had something lodged in her. As your four pawed baby is dying in the exam room you tell them to fix her. Then you get the bill. Having pet insurance makes paying that bill much easier to swallow - especially in these trying times. I didn't have pet insurance the first time and the bill was over $4500. The best part of pet health insurance is that I still have my four pawed baby who now plays with my 1 year old.
