When my dog got hit by a car and needed several thousands in medical bills, Trupanion was very timely in getting things filed, I loved the emails that kept me up to date on the claim (generally before I thought to ask) and the payment processing was fast. I got my check in about 12 business days. I LOVE Trupanion's 90/10 payout rate and how they handled the deductible was really helpful, too (they pulled it out of the larger bill so I got reimbursed for my local vet visit as well as the much larger referral hospital visit.

Highly recommend Health Paws
When I took our french bulldog puppy to our vet for her first check=up, she recommended that I buy pet insurance. Since this was the first time we had owned a dog, I took her recommendation, researched her two recommendation, and decided on Healthy Paws. I am SO grateful I did! Within one month, our puppy had eaten a poisonous mushroom and was on death's door. Given that we had insurance, I was able to make the decision to treat her, which involved a 6-day hospital stay. I am happy to say she made it through! Healthy Paws was very quick in reimbursing our claim, and also followed up with us personally to see how she was. Since then, we have had a few other issues, and each time Healthy Paws was efficient in claim review and reimbursement. Thank you Healthy Paws!!

Awesome service!
HealthyPaws is awesome!!! They are super fast with reimbursements (within 2-3 hrs) and always check up on my pet with an email a few days later! I feel very at ease being covered by them and knowing that anything should ever happen they will be there to help me through!

By far, the best pet insurance I have used!
Without Embrace, I would not have been able to provide Tucker with the intensive care that he required. On arrival to the ER, I had to make a prepayment of $3500 by credit card before any heroic treatment could be performed. Embrace gave me the peace of mind that I needed to sign for this expensive care. I received a check from Embrace for the cost of Tucker's 3 day stay in the ICU minus the deductible within 4 weeks time. A subsequent claim for an epipen was also covered. I can't thank Embrace enough for their care, concern and constant updates.

Our dog has been dealing with allergies that cause her to itch uncontrollably and during the course of treatment she has reacted to the medications on more than one occasion. Trupanion has paid all claims promptly and has not denied anything, including reactions to treatment. I wish they would cover the visit fee at the emergency animal hospital, but I understand that there are limits. I do very much appreciate the once per condition deductible, so we have only paid the deductible once for all of her allergy treatments. I very much recommend trupanion if you are looking for pet insurance.

I was recently impressed to see that an illness/injury claim that was not eligible for reimbursement was passed to the wellness department for review. Upon review, your staff noted that one item on the claim could be reimbursed under the wellness coverage. I appreciate the honesty and attention to detail.

Excellent insurance. We were recommended by a friend to join Trupanion and are so glad we did. Recently our dog needed to have surgery on an ACL injury and the claims were paid soon after. They kept in contact by e-mail with every update on our claim. Previous to this we had another issue with her health and this was also paid. We are very pleased with Trupanion and have recommended it to other fiends and family. Thank you for such good care

Horrible insurance!
There are soo many other pet insurance carriers that are extremely better than ASPCA! I just found out that my 16 week dog has Addison's disease and because I didn't take out additional insurance out on her ( continuing care) that they will no longer cover any illnesses related to her disease when her insurance renews in a couple months! First of all, why does the insurance have to reset on a yearly basis and what the hell was continuing care when I enrolled?!? I wasn't told about it!!! I have 4 dogs on ASPCA insurance and I'm canceling all if their policies and switching to VPI pet insurance, they are ALOT BETTER!! I spent a ton of money for policies on 4 dogs and my claims were always rejected because they apparently were not "approved" charges by ASPCA!! What the hell is approved than, they are vet visits for illnesses, vomiting, diarrhea...etc. oh wait is it b/c I have to wait 180 days without and between instances?!? I'm glad I paid for half a year for no reason!! Your insurance company is aweful and I will suggest everyone else to look elsewhere. I would be more understanding if a portion of my policy fees went towards ASPCA homeless or shelter animals but apparently no money does. Just horrible!!!
