Cat with early kidney disease

The service is excellent and because I have pet insurance I can have the extra testing as my cat has early kidney disease and there may be medications to help her.

Thank You Healthy Paws.

I recently lost one of my pugs due to an extended illness and incurred staggering amount of vet bills. I told myself never again and wanted to get insurance on my younger pug, who is 6 years old. So I had him go get his annual office visit and he came out with flying colors. When we got him home from the vet, I went online and enrolled him. It was great peace of mind knowing that he had a clean bill of health and I had taken him for a visit per the requirements of this insurance. Incredibly, a lowly 18 days later, my pug had a bladder stone that obstructed his ureter and I had to rush him to the hospital where he had emergency surgery. Per the agreement, Healthy Paws paid its portion of my $4500 vet bill promptly once I provided them my pugs complete medical history. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. Thanks Healthy Paws. You made my Christmas!

I have a high energy mischevious rat terrier;

Our rat terrier is now 2 years old and has had quite afew mishaps. She broke her left hind leg at the dog sitters before she was 1 year old but we are not sure how. Needless to say after 2 hard casts and 2 soft casts the injury has healed but it cost us almost $3000 and we didn't have insurance. Since then she has had Lymes despite being vaccinated, kennel cough which she must have picked up at the vets when she had to have a baby tooth removed because of impaction and infection and ASPCA insurance really helped cut some of the bill. Thank you.

Professional, well run company

Unlike having to deal with human insurance companies. These people are well organized and responsive to any claim with good communication and timely payment of appropriate reimbursements. I recommend them.

Didn't cover anything

I purchased the level 4 coverage when we brought our puppy home from the breeder at 10 weeks. I purchased that because it covered spaying, yearly dental cleanings, etc. When we took our pup to get spayed, the vet called to say that the dog had renal failure. They could not put her under anethesia because of her condition. They recommended a 3 day IV treatment which I agreed to. We took her to specialists. None of them could agree that the condition was congential, but we could not prove that is was not. As a result, ASPCA indicated that they would not cover any services related to the condition

Nothing is covered

I pay $67 per month for coverage. When I took my German Shepherd in for an injury (dog was limping), the only thing covered was the nail trimming I got, as an after thought. I can put the money for premimums away myself and probably have a very large surplus at the end of a year. I'm very disapointed.
