Embraceable!

The best pet insurance ever! That's why I said embraceable. I gave your company name and phone # to two other "parents" when I was recently in with my dog for his 2nd root canal. Your communications have been prompt and always courteous and concise. Your company is simply the best!

Super fast payments from Insurance

We did quite a bit of research and finally decided on Healthy Paws pet insurance. Their customer service is very good and they pay out crazy fast. We've had several random weird things with our adopted, mixed bully breed and they always pay super quick, no questions asked. If only I could get my act together to send them the claims as fast as they put them out, it would be great. I highly recommend them.

Thank Goodness I bought it!

I was looking for major health coverage for my two Shih Tzu's at 4 months of age. I didn't take wellness or drug coverage. At 14 months, my female got sick and was diagnosed with congenital liver problems. After a $6,000 plus major surgery I was thankful I purchased the insurance. Embrace paid promptly and fairly for the coverage I purchased. The deductible you choose is important. I got a $300 deductible and didn't reach it for the healthy dog, but just the diagnostic tests for the sick one was over $400!

Healthy Paws is Fantastic!!

My dog - Trixie a Bichon Frise - required major surgery & expensive medications leading up to it. The entire situation was very expensive. Healthy Paws made a painful situation much less so. I had a number of claims that were always responded to without hesitation or discussion. Claims have always been settled in an amazingly prompt fashion. I could not recommend them more highly. I am happy to report that my dog has made a full recovery & I am very grateful to Happy Paws.

Disappointed re: what ASPCA considers "reasonable"

I am very disappointed in this insurer and do not recommend it. Given that the policy alleges that a client can use "any vet" and be reimbursed at 80% of the amount bf the vet bill, I wrongly assumed that this insurance would have a reimbursement rate of 80% based upon a realistic fee. Albeit certain "reasonable rates" defined by ASPCA are surprisingly high (eg $120 for a specialist consultation), others are absurdly low (eg $27. for a urinalysis regardless of whether it was done in house or sent out to a lab) and just slightly over $200. for a multi-organ abdominal ultrasound performed by the same specialist that ASCPA considers $120. an appropriate fee for a consultation. Finally, the "reasonable" fees do not appear to be available until a claim is filed although a customer service rep suggested obtaining an estimate from the vet and then waiting to have services performed until ASPCA has an opportunity to "evaluate it" Overall, I am finding that I am being reimbursed at about 50% of the vet expenses that I was promised would be reimbursed at 80%. This insurance does not provide me the peace of mind that I hoped it would provide when I purchased it. And the company appears unwilling to make their list of "reasonable fees" upon which they provide reimbursement available. Moreover, although the staff is pleasant on the phone, I feel that find it annoying and unacceptable that I find their lack of transparency about determining reasonable fees to be unacceptable.

Customer for life!

Absolute best pet insurance out there! I could not be happier with their customer service and underwriting staff in covering the care needed for my 15 yr old dog's brain tumor, they really went above and beyond. Claims were processed really quickly and check's received in record time. Truly a blessing! Even my vet told me that Trupanion is the best he has seen with his clients.

Finally a great Pet Plan

I had my first claim with Embrace when my best little four legged buddy scratched his eyeball chasing lizards or something and all the claims were handled very promptly and I actually got a check!! Something that never happened with the old plan. I am so happy and I am telling my pet loving friends to use Embrace.
