Limits on Many Claims
I am disappointed because Nationwide has a limit on any given condition. So my dog gets cysts, and they only pay a certain maximum amount per year for each condition. This seems to defeat the whole purpose in having pet insurance. I pay an annual fee, but don't seem to get much out of this with the maximum on each condition. I worry that if my dog gets very sick or needs surgery, I will have to pay a lot out of pocket. Very disappointed.

I love my dogs like I love my children. I will do anything for them. The fact that Mac needed to have major dental surgery and had teeth pain that was hurting him meant I needed to get him care ASAP - having your insurance gave me assurances of the fact that I would not have to hesitate to worry about costs on this. I am so grateful to Nationwide for helping our dog - he has been eating better and more lively since getting the surgery. Thank you thank you!!!

You never should make a decision based on money
Unfortunately, my dog has been through a year of cancer treatment - radiation, chemotherapy and, unfortunately, amputation of her leg. Trupanion has been with us through the entire process. Claims are very easy to file, and they are very prompt in completing them. The coverage is very broad, and they have excellent customer service people available to answer questions. I strongly recomend pet insurance to every puppy owner I meet in the dog park. You neveer want to make a decision based on money. Based on our experience, I can strongly recommend Trupanion. They have been great
