Review of pet insurance for George

We enrolled our 6 year old cat George in the pet health insurance plan. He was doing well but we had had such major expenses with his sister Gracie (unfortunately we had not enrolled them when we got them) that we knew we might need help in the future. George developed some gastrointestinal problems and it has been such a blessing to have the coverage. We were so pleased that when we adopted our rescue dog Toby we immediately enrolled him, too.

Easy to deal with and quick to send payment

I decided to take out pet insurance on our new rescue puppy. We have had him 4 months and he managed to cut himself severely resulting in an emergency vet visit and surgery. I sent in the claim form and the bill and Embrace quickly reimbursed us for the amount that they said they would. They were very professional and courteous and I would recommend them to any pet owner.

Don't be without pet insurance

After a devastating experience with one of my cats years ago, I swore I would never be without pet insurance again. My beloved rescued FIV cat was diagnosed with liver disease, and his only chance was intensive care, which we simply could not afford. The vet did what they could, but having tried some natural remedies, our only recourse was to have him put to sleep. I did not feel he had been given an adequate chance of fighting, and he was a tough cat. I made sure that subsequent rescues had insurance, and I have no regrets. When another of our cats developed IBD/intestinal cancer we were able to ensure that he was comfortable and that we had offered him every possible treatment available, short of chemotherapy. Knowing that he was living the last 6 months of his life to the fullest was very important to us, and those months turned out to be the some of the most precious. I was able to care for him without stressing over the cost - which was only a fraction of the total bill. I advise all my friends with pets to have pet insurance, and I treat it with the same urgency as I do our own health insurance. We are all subject to sickness and the unexpected, and we cannot all afford such high bills, so if pet insurance is available to us, we should utilize it.

The absolute BEST pet insurance company out there

I have been with Embrace pet insurance for over 2 years. Our little Tiny Toy poodle had 2 specialized surgeries and 2 ER visits before she was a year old and we realized we needed help with these huge bills. After researching several pet insurance companies, Embrace was by far the best in terms of kindness trust, compassion and understanding about my pet, willingness to answer questions and never showed impatience when talking on the phone. All the agents are extremely kind. They explained their policy thoroughly and there were no hidden charges or confusing verbiage in their policy which could be misinterpreted. After the required waiting period before the policy kicked in, and I filed my first claim, there was no resistance or bad attitude that you often get when filing claims with insurance companies. They are friendly and act as if they really want to help you and are glad to honor their claims. They are very efficient and prompt in payment. I recently went through a very tough procedure for my little dog and they worked very hard to pre-certify in time, and the agents at Embrace actually showed compassion with understanding of what we were going through. This is an exceptional Pet Insurance Company and I have told many about it. I have another dog at home and I wish she wasn't too old to insure, because I would love to continue to support this company with my other pets.

Amazing...

Trupanion came in handy just in time. My puppy, Bella, swallowed a chicken treat, and it got lodged in her esophagus. After seeing our regular vet, we had to take her to a specialist. The total bill was close to $1,400. Trupanion covered 90% after my deductible and sent the check just within a few days. Then, Bella bit an electric cord and had to go back to the specialist...another $700 that was covered. The claim was handled in less than 24 hours! A few days later, Bella passed away from an injury (this little puppy got into everything, but she lived a very happy and spoiled, but short life sadly). I contacted Trupanion, and they immediately canceled my policy and requested a refund of the month's premium. Although I'm completely distraught over Bella's death, I do find comfort in knowing that she received the BEST care all thanks to Trupanion, and I'm not left in debt. I highly recommend this pet insurance company, and I will use them should I decide to get another pet later in the future. I can't thank them enough for their incredible service.

ASPCA Insurance Cares

Our Bichon Frise was an integral part of our lives for over 11 years. When she was diagnosed with kidney failure we were devastated. Unfortunately the choices were few. She was hospitalized several times and we were given fluid therapy to administer at home. When the inevitable occurred, not only did the ASPCA Pet Insurance help defray the costs, we received condolences and sources for helping to ease the hurt. The people at ASPCA Pet Insurance truly cared about our Pearl. When we adopt a new family member, she will be provided ASPCA Pet Insurance.

First time with Embrace

I have had VPI insurance in the past. After review of Embrace and VPA I am so happy that I choose Embrace for my 10 week old 2 lb. Chihuahua/Pomeranian. I have never had such quick response when submitting the first vet visits for Zoey.

A bloodhound saved...

We had a tragic accident with our bloodhound Huebert recently and vet bills piled up quickly. If it weren't for the ASPCA policy we had, we may have had to put Huebert down. We luckily had been with ASPCA for over a year when the incident occurred. After submittal of the paperwork, we were paid within 30 days as our policy states and were able to collect the maximum amount possible with the policy. All of my correspondence with them was pleasant, especially with the stress and worry we had been through. They took initiative in caring for our dog and this went a long way. If you are considering insurance, I strongly recommend sacrificing a little somewhere else to pay for it. With this incident, it has paid for itself.

Newly insured

I have never had pet insurance before and so far I am impressed. I asked my Vet what she thought about Pet insurance and she said in the 10 years she has been in business she has seen only two cases that paid. She has brochures in her office from another company. This may change her opinion. Keep up the good work Jill
