To Purchase Insurance or Not
After deductible nothing is covered. I pay a high monthly fee and am only covered if there were to be a serious accident. May make more sense to bank that money.

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT BUY PET INSURANCE FROM HEALTHY PAWS!!
I would give zero stars if I could. I have been a loyal customer with multiple pet policies for 8 years. When I signed up, my pets were very young. I did extensive research on pet insurance at the time. The primary reason I went with Healthy Paws Insurance was that I was assured premiums would not increase solely based on age and claims filed. This was a fraudulent and false claim. In the 8 years since I have had this insurance, my premiums have increased 177%. The premium increases were small when the pets were young, a bit more as they got older, and in the last 2 years alone, they have increased by 148%! Healthy Paws has nearly 200 complaints with the Better Business Bureau...many along this same line. As far as I can tell, Healthy Paws will gladly take your money (I have paid many thousands in premiums) up until the point that your pet starts to *really need* the insurance. They will then ruthlessly jack up your premiums to price you right out of your policies. Don't be fooled like I was! Purchasing pet insurance from Healthy Paws is one of the worst decisions I ever made! I truly hope there is a class-action lawsuit against this company. They should be run out of business for what they are doing to people!

$5000.00 claim to remove an intestinal blockage on my dog. Denied because her past puppy behavior of picking up a rock with her mouth (and not swallowing it), was considered a pre existing behavior. Take your money elsewhere. I'm gonna.

I was skeptical about pet insurance, but no longer!
I was skeptical about pet insurance, but I signed up when I adopted my dog, and now I'm so glad I did! My dog was recently diagnosed with Addison's disease after going into an Addisonian crisis. The crisis alone was terrifying, but thankfully it's a treatable condition with daily steroids and monthly injections, and thanks to Healthy Paws, I can afford to keep him healthy. It's easy to file a claim, and reimbursements are sent quickly. I highly recommend Healthy Paws. Sign up when you adopt your pet!

My claim for Arkina is taking entirely too long to process and numerous requests for documentation it’s going on 2 months for my 2 claims waiting to be processed.

Pets Best took the stress out of the emergency vet
We got 2 Cavalier puppies in October and reviewed the different insurance options and settled on Pets Best for a combination of coverage and price. We were woken up early one morning with one of the puppies being very sick. Knowing we had the pet insurance we went to the emergency vet and they were quickly able to diagnose our puppy and provide medicine and a treatment plan. Pets Best only required that I provide the invoices of the services rendered. There was even some regular medicine on the bill that I didn’t even have to ask them to exclude. They have already refunded me the amount we expected. I would recommend this pet insurance to anyone looking. Sure there are limitations but what insurance doesn’t have limits of some kind.

A True Life Saver!
We adopted our dog Grayson when she was 18 months. We got Healthy Paws insurance immediately, as it was recommended by a friend and had good reviews. Grayson has been healthy during the 2 years we've had her and we've used Healthy Paws occasionally. Fast forward 2 years. Grayson had a strange reaction to a tick collar and we took her to the emergency vet. She seemed ok, however blood tests indicated high liver enzymes. We retested after a month and the results were worse. We then did more tests that indicated our otherwise healthy girl had some form of liver disease. After multiple tests, an ultrasound and a catscan, it was found she had a liver shunt. Healthy Paws payed for these tests/procedures and also paid for her very costly surgery. They have been a true lifesaver and even emailed to check up on her. I love them and recommend them strongly!!!
