Old English Sheepdog
We have a 4-month old Old English Sheepdog, and the free insurance was pretty basic. Consequently, our initial well puppy visit/meds was not covered, but our next one was, (we added the well dog insurance) and the process was seamless.

Thanks Trupanion!
I have had Trupanion since my 8year old Rottie was 8 weeks old. They have always paid my vet directly or sent me a check in a timely manner. I recently got a new puppy and without hesitation added her to my policy. Customer service is excellent, knowledgeable and always very helpful. My Rottie was diagnosed with arthritis and is talking meds for the rest of her life. Thank you Trupanion for easing the burden and helping me care for my beautiful pups!

Trupanion's marketing campaign is a dud.
Trupanion's marketing campaign for a free month is so poorly explained I felt I had to comment. At my vet's recommendation, I signed up ahead of adopting my pet so coverage would be in effect. My breeder gave me one free month without explaining I had to contact the company to claim it. When I called to ask, the rep told me the offer had expired but offered me a free month at the time of my first vet visit. He said he would set this up for me and contact me to confirm the vet visit. When he did not, I contacted the company. Of course, nothing had been set up. I went through the story again with two reps. By the time I was offered to close my account and start over again to get the free month, I realized I had wasted a great deal of my time fighting to get one month free and it was just not worth the headache. But it did set up a terrible relationship with me and Trupanion. So if that is what the marketing strategy of the brand is, you have succeeded. It has to be all up hill from here.

Great company and very kind staff
I sadly lost one of my dogs Nov 2020 to cancer and my other dog (littermate) in Jan 2021 to a ruptured intestine. The staff at Trupanion were so kind, and the company payments were prompt and accurate. I have a new puppy and have added him to my policy with Trupanion because I cannot imagine going with any other pet insurance company.

I cannot say enough good things …
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Trupanion. My poor pooch has had to undergo 3 different surgeries in the last year. Ruptured CCL (Right hind), Torn Meniscus (Right hind) and Torn CCL (Left hind), and the physical therapy that goes along with it (paid for this rider). In each instance, once I've submitted my receipts, I've had payment in my bank account in less than a week. If only human health insurance worked this well!

We have had Trupanion since our dog was a few months old. Best investment ever as it truly gave us peace of mind. Processing of claims is very easy and reimbursements are made within a few days. We have never had any issues with getting reimbursements for various hospital stays and illnesses.

Trupanion Pet insurance is a must if you have a furbaby. Our girl Winter is a 2 1/2 yr old Siberian Husky .. she’s had some health emergencies and I am so great full to have Trupanion on my side to help out with the medical expenses. No matter what happens to Winter I know that Trupanion has our back and Winter can get the best care that she needs! I’ve used the chat line and they are always ready to help and reassure me. Please if you plan to bring a furbaby into your life then having Trupanion is going to be the best investment you can make.. I know that if my furbaby is injured or becomes ill I don’t have to worry about the expensive cost to help my girl !
