I've had some issues with coverage during the more difficult times with him, and I feel like your claims team doesn't really look into the claims as much. I write notes and they get ignored. You may want to consider more staff, less expectation of volume of work for your staff, and a different process to save some time and effort for both your claims team, supervisors, and insurance members. I DO recommend everyone that is on state or federal assistance to get pet insurance like this and mention Trupanion. We cannot have enough in our savings account, especially for end of life care. Having just a deductible and knowing, for the most part, things will be covered, especially his medications, has been invaluable in my ability to care for him and keep my grumpy old man alive for so long.

Venus's Trupanion policy is great!
Our Bernese Mountain Dog Venus had two surgeries within a month, for unrelated problems. First, she tore a ligament in her back leg and began limping, and soon after, she developed an ear hematoma. Trupanion covered both incidents fully based on our policy, and paid both claims within two business days. We will have to do physical therapy with Venus at home for another eight weeks, but she is doing very well and we are grateful to have Trupanion's coverage to cover most of the cost. We will maintain her Trupanion coverage as long as she is with us (hopefully a long time), and I tell everyone who asks about owning a Bernese Mountain Dog that the very first thing they should do after they bring their new companion home is to call Trupanion and sign up for a policy. From our experience, it is essential.
