I can’t stress the need for pet…
I can’t stress the need for pet insurance. The fur babies mean the world to us, and the last thing a caretaker should have to do is make a life or death decision based purely on finances. Getting to the diagnosis can cost more than $1000, and then treatment can be many ‘000s more. My youngest got sick eight weeks after I got him. His bowels stopped working, and he could swallow, eat, or poop. The initial diagnosis from my vet was $1,800, and that only got me a referral to a specialist hospital. The next ten days of treatment cost over $60,000. I don't know at what point I would have been able to say stop. Fortunately, I didn’t have to. I was 100% insured. The puppy came back a little weaker but in much better form. He’s been great for the last 2.5 years. Trupanion offers a variety of payout levels and deductibles. I’ve got the 100% with $0 deductible, which I would highly recommend. Trupanion has an excellent website; you can do the majority of your transactions online or via email.

I rely on Trupanion for the needs of my two rescue dogs, and they so far haven't failed me. They always have had excellent customer service and claims are made very easy. Also, when I call for assistance or have questions on matters they are friendly, considerate and knowledgeable. All in all, that's FIVE stars!!

Easiest transaction ever. Pleasantly surprised with Trupanion’s amazing customer service. Communication was fabulous, never did I have to wonder where we were in the processing phase of claim. I would not give these people a dime…
I would not give these people a dime for pet Insurance. After being with Trupanion for 7 years and 32000,00 dollars later they would not cover my dog's first ever claim. At first it was a success and I would have highly recommend them bei g they were there for my first dog, but after 7 years of dedication to their insurance for my pets and thousands of dollars later I sent in a claim for I e of my dog's who by the way I never sent in any big claim on her just odd medication and little thing's but when it came down to a big claim they refused my claim. Now I knew I was covered being it was in my claim but I thought I better call just to check make sure it was correct. Well according to my records and theirs I was. So I sent my first claim in and they refused it and when I confronted them on it they would not even consider covering my claim, I was a bit angry and disappointed with their desision and how they handled the whole situation so I decided it was time to cancel and find a new and better company. You would think after 7 years and 32000,00 later they would cover 500.00 dollars worth but nope they didn't and to top it off I praised them up and told everyone I knew about them and I am well known in the animal industry let's just put that out there as well. Well I am sorry now and they also decided to put my rates up to 80.00 within 3 months for both animals I had covered and kept going up and up. Another fault in their behalf.

Have been using trupanion for 9.5…
Have been using trupanion for 9.5 years. Have a policy for all three of my dogs. The customer service is top notch, the ease of submitting a claim has only improved over time. I have also submitted for pre-approval before one of my dogs had surgery and the approval was completed and approved in less then 24 hours. That’s faster then human insurance. It’s nice to know that I have this company on my side when I need them. I have never been denied a claim and it’s always quickly handled and money deposited in my bank account in a very timely manner.
