I am so grateful I got Trupanion for our boy when he was young . He just had a $20k hospital stay and they paid $18,042 of it ! I will never have a dog and not have Trupanion. Thank you so much !! ❤️

I received the following email after fifteen business days from my original claim. They are now telling me it will be a MINIMUM OF 30 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE THEY ANSWER MY CLAIM. THEY ARE THE WORST. Hello Lila, We have received medical records for Harry and they are in line for review. Harry's medical records could be reviewed for several reasons, including: You've requested a medical history review You've submitted your first accident or illness claim Harry has a claim pending medical history for a specific date of service We are updating a temporary pre-existing condition on Harry's policy Once the medical records are reviewed, pending claims can be processed and medical history reviews can be completed. This process can take up to 30 business days once we've collected all necessary medical records, and it is likely you will not receive any updates during this time. Please note that if our team finds that we are missing medical history or the records we receive are summary/vaccine records only, this will delay the review and/or claim. Please be sure to let us know which practice(s) Harry has visited in the 12 months before you purchased your policy. Medical records can be emailed to claims@embracepetinsurance.com, submitted via your MyEmbrace customer account, or faxed to (800) 238-1042. Feel free to contact us if our requested time frame has been exceeded. Please do NOT sign up for Trupanion. I wish I had seen these negative reviews before I wasted my time and money. I only submitted one claim and the processing time was so lengthy that I was charged ANOTHER month. The judgement is STILL pending. Honestly, I could've used all the money I wasted on Trupanion for my pet instead. Edit: They denied my claim. Honestly, this company doesn't care about your furry family member. This has been made abundantly clear and they've done even worse to other people. Thank god my pet isn't going through anything serious. Can you imagine trying to make a serious claim with these HEARTLESS uncaring people. Please save yourself time, money and potential headache. Steer clear of Trupanion. Just in regards to the response form Trupanion. I had spoken to several representatives and my vet has even personally reached out to them on my pet's behalf. Long story short, this company will do whatever it takes to waste your time and deny your claim.

Healthy Paws has your back
I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for approximately 4 years. It is easy to submit a claim. For each step of the process, I receive an e-mail: when the claim is received, when the claim is being reviewed (in process) and when the claim is completed. All of this happens very quickly (typically 2-3 days, although I have had approval in 12 hours and an occasional longer time frame). The explanation of benefits is always complete, and the claim is processed quickly. I have submitted 36 claims in the past 6 months and have not had a claim denied - they cover so much, including medication, testing, and procedures. When my dear pup needed her gall bladder removed in an emergency surgery, I knew that I would be able to get her the care she needed because Healthy Paws had my back. The large hospital bill was approved in two days and the check was received very quickly after.
