Incredibly satisfied customer!
I renewed my dog's policy and I am very pleased with the experience. Last year when I got the original policy, I spoke with Monica and she was wonderful. I was fortunate enough to work with her again this year when doing the renewal policy. I never felt like I was being pressured into anything or that not having insurance for Tommy made me an irresponsible pet mom. She was very thorough and answered all my questions. She even remembered that my dog had major surgery and asked how he is doing. Everyone I've spoken to has been super friendly and clearly love their pets as much as I do. I also wanted to thank Jenna for all her help and time when I called with some questions earlier. Thank you all so much!

Trupanion Pet Insurance Saved My Sweet Dog’s Life
My sweet Ellie has been a healthy, full-of-life Boston Terrier for all of her nine years. Not too long ago she inhaled a blade of grass on one of our walks. Before her rhinoscopy, we didn’t know it was a foreign object causing her so much distress. I was desperate to find out what was causing her severe reverse and regular sneezing attacks as well as her deteriorating health. I’m forever grateful that I have Trupanion Pet Insurance. This awesome company and customer support staff quickly responded with pre-approvals for Ellie’s CT scan and then a rhinoscopy to determine a treatment plan. We saw two specialty veterinarians for these two procedures. Both offices submitted the Trupanion claims for me, so I didn’t have to pay so much out of pocket. I’ve learned Trupanion quickly sends claim payments to the veterinarians. Thankfully, Ellie is back to her bright-eyed, healthy self. Without Ellie’s Trupanion Pet Insurance and given my tight financial budget, I don’t know what I would have done to help her. Trupanion does not cover exam fees, which would be helpful especially when seeing specialty veterinarians as their initial exam fees were much more expensive than my regular vet's fees. This is important to keep in mind when budgeting for your deductible and percentage payout. Big picture – Trupanion Pet Insurance makes life better when you’re dealing with a cherished pet’s illness or medical emergency. Based on my experience in the area where I live, it appears that Trupanion has a good reputation with our local veterinarians too.

Don’t Get Embrace
This insurance is great if your pet never gets sick. The instant it does, they will run you around in circles trying to prove it was a pre existing condition. My cat needs surgery for her ears but I thought I was covered. Turns out because I got her ears cleaned as a kitten that she has a pre existing condition with her ears. Not only would they refuse to cover anything related to her ears but they refused to cover any of her vet bills since they said she had been to the vet too much. So they covered nothing. Junk insurance. Go elsewhere.

We never had pet insurance for my pets growing up but when I adopted my dog he was already on Trupanion and I decided to keep it going.
