Impressive

We registered with Trupanion at our Vet's recommendation when Moonlight was only 8 weeks old. Recently she accessed a box off raisin/chocolate. The treatment was long and costly (over 10000$). Trupanion worked with our Vet, obtained the medical history and simply paid 90% of the cost. The procedure for filing the claim was easy and throughout the waiting period ( about 1-2 weeks) they sent me updates with a final thank note to us for taking good care of Moonlight. I will remmend Trupanion to all pet owners with no reservations.

Accurate, professional and compassionate

This is our second occasion to submit a claim to Trupanion and once again the service was excellent. An update on the submission process was, either by e-mail or phone, was always very professional with very little need to question the payment process. Ins repayment

I recently put in our first claim with Trupanion. My gsd was diagnosed with pancreatitis, it came on extremely fast and was scary! The customer service at Trupanion is great and when I asked how I go about making a claim the woman i spoke to was so helpful that I asked about some other issues we had with our staffy. She was adopted 3years ago and recently had a pellet surface in her face, we had the pellet removed and never thought about putting in a claim because we thought that would be considered pre-existing. The woman I spoke to told me to file the claim because we didn't have previous knowledge of the injury. Our claim was initially lost, once I called it was cleared up rather quickly and both claims were paid out. My only complaint is that our rates went up a couple days later.

Trupanion to pay the vet and the customer pay the

The insurance agent was great. The only thing I would change is to have the claim paid directly to the Vet, and we the insured pay the difference so we are not out of pocket a large amount all at once.

Insurance coverage works as advertised

Our American eskimo Prince is happy after the vet did a professional job managing his medical issues, I'm happy with trupanion and the reimbursement of costs to me through the insurance policy i've held for prince since 2003,Thank-you trupanion

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
