Parvovirus
My 8mth old cane corso/ Rottweiler contracted parvovirus froA local dog park. My puppy was near death and thanks to Trupanion having a no limit for coverage per illness we were able to get full treatment which cost an excess of 3000.00 which saved my baby's life!!! If not for our coverage we would have had to say goodbye to my little girl. Trupanion has also covered 50% of my puppy's treatment food to restore her gastrointestinal health. Thank you to all the hard workig honest staff at Trupanion!!!!

Cherry eye
my puppy had "cherry eye" in the left eye and then in the right eye, 3 weeks later. Trupanion paid promptly and with no problems.

Never failed me
I've been with Trupanion for almost 4 years now, and when people ask how I like my pet insurance I only have great things to say. They are quite literally the reason my dog is still alive, as there is no way I would have been able to cover all his medical costs on my own. A couple small errors over the years that were rectified by my calling in, but they were just honest human error and were corrected quickly and easily. Note that my premiums HAVE gone up twice now in the time I have been with them, but it was a fairly small amount each time. They provided ample notice before the rate adjustments as well.
I have a 3.5years old boston terrier with ongoing allergy issues. The support Trupanion provides in covering 90% of the bills allows me to provide the proper care to my dog. The vet faxes off all the paperwork for me, and I usually get an email within 1-2 days from Trupanion saying my claim has been received, and then 2-3 days later an email saying a cheque was cut and is on its way to me. Very pleased with their service.

Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
