Puppy's Broken Toe

We've had Trupanion insurance for several years for one of our other dogs, and they were wonderful when he needed surgery, so we added our lab puppy to our policy. Two weeks later, he broke a weight-bearing toe while running in our yard. Trupanion is a great insurer - their representatives are always friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The turn-around between submitting a claim and receiving payment is short. I have been very happy with them. The only suggestion I would have for them is that they should cover the vet examination fee for things that need rechecking, like a broken bone. For some reason, they don't cover that. In all other respects, they are wonderful, and I recommend them without reservation.

Trupanion....Simply The BEST

I am a first time dog owner.... a rescue, 4 month old mixed breed pup...On my first visit to my vet he recommended pet insurance... I did and he recommended Trupaion.... I have owned my dog for 2 years.... in that time 2 knee surgeries, fox tail in her tonsils, and a few other vet bills.... and Trupaion was right there.... with my plan they covered 90% of the bills.... Recently I received an email from them talking about a Rate Change... and I thought... OK here it comes... they are dropping me or they are going to raise my rates... WRONG... they wanted to let me know that they had done research on the local vet services in my area and after they did their research... they actually lowered my monthly premium based on their findings of vet costs in my area... TRUPANION is the truly on the side of Pets they service and the Owners who love them and care for them.

THE WORST! Waiting 5 weeks now for payment

I HAVE BEEN WAITING 5 WEEKS SO FAR FOR PAYMENT FOR A SIMPLE PROCEDURE) . THEY WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE A FIRST CALM BEFORE GETTING YOUR PETS RECORDS. THEY JUST KEEP TALING IN CIRCLES. THEY ARE VERY SWEET WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AS TEHY GIVE YOU TH RUN-A-ROUND THEY DON'T PAY !!!!! IT iIS SO FRUSTRATING. I LEFT A GREAT PLACE AT MY VETS REQUEST TO TRY TRUPANION...I HAVE INFORMED MY VET HE IS REALLY DISAPPOINTED AS WELL. THEY CLAIM TO PAY 90 PERCENT. WHEN? THEY HAVE A SOB STORY OF HOW THEY ARE GROWING SO FAST THEY ARE DELAYED. I HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR MANY MONTHS THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN MY DOGS RECORDS. ON TEH HOME PAGE THEY CALIM TO PAY 80 PER CENT OF CALIMS IN ONE WEEK THAT IS MISLEADING, WHEN I MENTIONED THAT TO THEM THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON SAID OH WE HAD BETTER REMOVE THAT...DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO REPORT INTERNET FRAUD?I DO NOT BELIEVE THESE OTHER REVIEWS!!!! RUN!!!

No Fuss, Quick Paymeny

Trupanion has been a lifesaver with our little girl, Gracie. From eye infections to ear problems to far more serious stomach problems. While the premium for Beagles has increased over the three years we've had the coverage, the claims are processed very quickly and there has NEVER been any hangling over coverage.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
