Reliable and easy to work with

I don't know what we would do without Trupanion. When we first signed up, my husband and I weren't sure if pet insurance was worth it. Well, now we know it is. Our dog has ended up with numerous medical bills for various issues over the last three years. Most recently, she's had throat/stomach issues that required expensive tests. Trupanion's claims submission has been so easy to work with and their response has been so fast. We received a reimbursement check yesterday for a claim that was submitted just last week. I highly recommend Trupanion.

Wonderful Service for Dog's Orthopedic Injury

Doc, our 1 year old Lab mix, had an unfortunate play injury...he jumped off the couch and injured his superficial digital flexor tendon. We are so glad we had gotten Trupanion after seeing a flyer at our vet. Doc's injury required orthopedic surgery, which was pretty expensive. We were so thrilled with Trupanion for coming through on their promise and taking care of 90% of the cost of the entire injury from the first appointment to the final check up. The claim was handled in a very timely fashion and the one time I called in the person I spoke with was extremely helpful and kind. Thank you Trupanion. I am recommending you to all of my friends and family!

Reliable, straightforward coverage

I have had Trupanion coverage for my 12 year old Golden for several years. The coverage is exactly as advertised. No surprises, no fine print ripoffs. Reimbursement is fast and efficient.

Best pet insurance in the industry!!

A preapproval form was submitted when the vet determined my dog needed surgery and the claim was processed before she came out of anastetia (sp?). Trupanion stands by their guarantee. I have had terrible experiences with other pet insurance companies.

Creepily Thorough

It was kind of creepy. I forgot to mention a vet clinic I took Miso to a few times and they found it anyways. I get the sense that they were trying to peg him as having a pre-existing condition (which is what I have heard from a lot of other people). Will probably be switching companies. They did pay what was owed, it took weeks to get the cash though.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
