This process has been quick, easy, and painless. We are thankful that they are helping us with the costs, especially considering he may need surgery in the future. I would recommend trupanion to anyone!

Great service during emotional time.

It is difficult enough to deal with an emotional time that is painful for a pet but when the heavy cost of a vet bill to mitigate this comes into play, it is overwhelming. We were lucky enough to be able to afford monthly insurance and decided to try Trupanion...we are very glad we did. They take the administrative burden off of the pet owner during a hectic and emotional time. Service was fast, transparent and friendly...almost too good to be true today. Sad we had to see our pet go through a tough time but grateful we did not have to deal with all the extra hassles that may have come from another provider. Thank you Trupanion!

Only the TRUTH

We, were very surprised of the service we received. The courtesy and the caring that each and every person we spoke to. It seems that most companies only care about the revenue that can be made off the public. Not the case with Trupanion. We would and have recommended them to our friends and other pet owners.

Thank goodness for trupanion!

I went out for a few hours and when I came home my dogWas laying in a pile of drool and was so dizzy, swaying back and fourth. My dog is an 8 pound yorkie. I immediately called my vet and took her in. They suspected toxicity from something my dog ate. After xrays they found out it was something stuck in her stomach. An estimate was sent to trupanion who responded within the hour to let me know everything would be covered. They even called me to let me know. My vet bill began increasingly getting larger and larger. It was such a relief to know I had trupanion to help me out!! My bill ended up being 1500 and I left only paying 250.00. I am so thankful for trupanion, you never know if something will happen to your dog and such a relief to know trupanion is there to back you up. I would definitly recommend trupanion!

Highly Recommend, Very Satisfied

Our miniature schnauzer developed bladder stones that did not dissolve with medical therapy, so he eventually required surgery. Trupanion covered 90% of all the medical AND surgical treatment, INCLUDING 50% coverage of the expen$ive prescription dog food. They respond quickly to previously approved covered conditions and the reimbursement arrives in a timely manner. It does take a little while initially for them to obtain all your vet records and approve an initial claim (some vet offices are unresponsive), but if you help them out by getting vet record copies yourself and emailing them to the company, they accept them and it greatly expedites the process.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
