Had a medical issue with our two year old pet, named Casey. He was transported to a Veterinary Emergency Clinic and Casey was treated promptly. A clinician statement was sent to Trupanion forwith. A reply was issued a short time later, asking how Casey was and stated that they had our claim. Trupanion advised us that they were in the process of looking into our statement of claim. A positive reply was issued in that Trupanion covered most of our claim. We are very pleased with the prompt service of Trupanion and the over all quick response.

Trupanion saved Phoebe's life!

One late Sunday night my beautiful standard poodle a mere 2 years old began acting very strange. I was afraid, she acted as if she had a stroke, walking into the walls not responding to my calls. What to do but to take her to the hospital where they proceeded to admit her.The next morning the vet called, he wanted to do a CT scan, a sonogram and blood work. Two days later the results a huge abcess behind her left eye. Four weeks later after several more vet visits and alot of antibiotics Phoebe is a new dog! Begging to fetch the ball wanting to get up and go.Well as for me the total bill mounted up to almost seven thousand dollars, thank god I had pet insurance! Trupanion has been beyond wonderful, very responsive paying ninety percent of her medical expenses. Compassionate, fast a Godsend. I highly recommend Trupanion please tell all your pet loving friends about Trupanion.

Excellent customer service and fast payment.

When looking for pet insurance I decided to choose Trupanion because they were recommended by friends. It was an excellent choice. My Rottweiler Gus ruptured his ACL and Trupanion has been excellent to work with. They covered the expenses they said they would. Glad I selected them.

Easy-breezy

Four months into my recovering from knee surgery it was odd that our our dog, Bailey, started limping. As he is an intuitive dog and very in tune with me, Family and friends commented that he was showing sympathetic symptoms. Imagine our surprise when we took him to the vet and found out he too had a torn ACL and was in need of surgery. At a cost of close to $3,000 in order to have the surgery, we would have been in a position where we would of had to consider putting our dog down so that he wouldn't be in pain. Having Trupanion put us in a position where we did not have to make that dreadful decision. My dog had his two week check-up and we received word from Trupanion that our 90% , less deductible will be sent out shortly. Every step of the way, Trupanion sent e-mails to check up on Bailey and to let me know the progress with our cases as it was my first submission. During this trying time, Trupanion has truly been a God send. The process was easy. Because the paperwork was not an issue, our concerns were completely on Bailey. Thank you

No hassle process of the claim

I've been joining Trupanion for 2 years now. I've had submitted claim forms to Trupanion for 2-3 times. They processed the claims pretty fast without any hassles. Normally it takes a few days for them to completing the claim and they will send the check to me within a week.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
