This company is a scam

This company is a scam. Without any claims in my first year, my pricing went up over 30% the next year. I have filed complaints over and over again. They keep telling me to change my deductible. Why should I? I'm now paying over $320 a month which I can't afford. Had I known this would happen I would have just put money away myself. They are criminals!

Pricing going up all the time

Pricing going up all the time, It seems good at the start for pricing but every year the price goes up . If would have known from the start, I would have look somewhere else. I never saw an insurance company not making huge profit. They try to make us feel bad when you approach them with the price increase.

I actually had canceled1 dog to go…

I actually had canceled 1 dog to go elsewhere so we could cover 3 dogs for cheaper rate. I ended up talking to a Dennis to cancel and something stuck in my mind about a lower price point. Called them back 3 days ..and after talking to a Megan and then Becky, we changed all 3 medium to large dogs with trupanion. Both were extremely helpful, super knowledgeable and I was on the phone with them all In all for over an hour. They waived the 1 time fee for the other 2 new dogs and offered a comprehensive rehab kinda plan for about 15 % of dogs premium. So my youngest pit, her plan is around 29$ so an extra 5$ for that plan. It included homeopath, hydrotherapy, accupuncture, and so much more...and for as long as she s with them. My almost 7 year old large sheppard mix, his premium is 65$ monthly and for that extra it cost 12$ extra. So they re very competitive. The deductible is higher, but for us, worth it. And pay direct is also awesome. I feel they have much more to offer for sure and customer service is excellent. But make sure to call them. Big difference with you enrolling them online by yourself, and talking to someone. The price dropped dramatically by calling customer service. Thank you Becky, Megan and Dennis! You were fantastic!!

For now I am not satisfy

For now I am not satisfy. I am a new customer who just sign in. I use the quotation form in French and selected my dog type. On the web portal my dog type was different so I called customer service. Good service in French, someone pick up the phone and change my dog type using their English form... Then when they change my dog type it was about 15$ more per month. They they find out there was a glitch in the translation of my dog type. They said it was the first time they see this issue. IT should fix the issue but in the mean time my monthly rate has increase. I hope they find the issue quickly and fix my rate back to the first rate with my dog type correcly listed in French. I feel that I should pay the same price as I see on the web (French version)! I hope they will fix the issue quickly.

Quick and easy to enroll

I stayed away from pet insurance because I believed the process was going to be long and tedious. The process was very easy and quick, I paid with credit card. Overall very pleased.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
