Easy, fast, straightforward

I was a little concerned that Lucy's latest adventure might not be covered as she does have a bit of history of eating things she shouldn't, but in the past dozen years she's never gotten into anything serious. This time was not the case - she opened the pantry and stole a giant bag of raisins and pigged out on 10 ounces of them. Got her in the ER, vomited those bad boys up and stayed for fluids and recheck labwork. She's feeling fine and Trupanion covered her claim and quickly processed the claim and kept me and the vet's office informed. Honestly not sure anything could have been done better, and I'm glad I have her insured to help keep costs down for her care.

Piece of mind

One of our dogs was immediately ill overnight. Not knowing what the issue was, we immediately faced test at two different vets and ultimately hospitalization. It was so helpful to know that we could do whatever we could for our dog, without having to weigh the immense costs. Had we had to base our decision on the costs, we would have had to put him down that day.

quick and easy

The pet hospital that we went to direct bils and does the easy claim. Iy was processed immediate and I will be reimbursed within days

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
