Excellent & Speedy Service

Carli, our large DobermannXBeagle girl, recently developed an infection which settled in her rear leg joint. She was unable to put any pressure on it while walking etc. Vet treated her with antibiotics and Medicam and three weeks later, she is now responding much better. Trupanion has always been there for us as when she was two, both legs needed ACL surgery and Trupanion helped us with 90% ofa very expensive bill to which we are still very grateful! Most recently, Trupanion resolved Carli's current problem very quickly and efficiently. Thank you Trupanion!

dog ate raisins emergency

rushed doggie to vet ER after i realized she found a small box of raisins which could cause kidney failure and death to a dog.claim took a few days longer than usual. for 2 yrs it takes less than 1 week to get reimbursed. this time it took more time.at least they sent me check less deductible and ER emergency fee

Ear infection

My case for Kaseys ear infection charges was submitted by my vet for me and Trupanion delt with it fast and professionally Thanks so much. Without your services a lot of these treatments would be hard to deal with but because we have insurance we can breath easy knowing our girl will get the best of treatments

Outstanding

Although we have only been with Trupanion for a short time - when our puppy Bruno had a issue - we are so appreciative of your service and quick response. He's recovering surgery and doing well. We plan to be a long term client and look forward to have our other pets insured through Trupanion

Great plan!

Trupanion brings me peace of mind as there is no payout limit per year or condition. I do not have to worry that if something major happens to my pet, I could be left dry mid treatment.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
