A great company.

Trupanion has been a wonderful Ins. Co. for us. I would recommend it to everyone who has a pet. They are reliable,caring and very prompt in their claims.Nobody wants their pet to suffer because a procedure is so expensive that you either put it off or decide against it. With Trupanion Insurance it's a no brainer!!! They make it so easy to get the needed help right away!

Reliable with prompt payments!

We have been with Trupanion since our dog was a pup. We can't speak highly enough about their amazing service and how quickly they handle their claims. Our dog has had many serious problems from eye surgeries to cushiness disease and severe dermatitis. All our claims were dealt with professionally and quickly.We count our blessings that we enrolled with Trupanion from the very outset.

The Difference between life and death

I ended up at the emergency vet at 1am with my 3 year old dog Sampson who was showing signs of pain but didn't seem to be too bad.. long story short it ended up that his stomach was twisting, and we caught it just as it was starting! We were able to just say do what needs to be done, as Trupanion was available at such a random hour to do a pre-approval for the surgery. I am not sure what I would have done if I had to cover it all out of pocket... I try not to think about it. They explained again what would be covered, and what would not, and there were no surprises once the bill finally came. They covered his xrays, the surgery, the two day hospital stay and even the prescription food for recovery! I can't recommend this company enough!

Very happy with Trupanion

Have had Trupanion for 4 1/2 years. Never a problem with claim processing. My Bernese Mt. Dog has EPI and needs pancreatic enzymes on her food the rest of her life. Trupanion pays 90% and I pay 10%.Her enzymes cost 150.00 a month. Be sure the pet insurance you buy pays for medicine. I paid a one time deductible for her illness. After that only 10% of the cost of the medicine. I would insure my next dog again with Tripanion.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
